if only some of these turn coats in Kansas did the same.  No problem with this particular class but some recent classes.

jfc, i've never seen so much fanfare over a wide receiver. i mean, he's good and all, but it's not a difference maker for a program.

Crabtree and Blackmon had good quarterbacks throwing to them.  James Franklin is not a good quarterback.

Tracy Beckham, who has a master’s degree from the University of Kansas, was just as disappointed in the Jayhawks’ recruiting efforts under former coach Turner Gill, who was fired in November after two disastrous seasons. Kansas twice scheduled visits to see Dorial but canceled both, Tracy Beckham said.

“They were just a mess,” Tracy Beckham said

When Missouri coach Gary Pinkel made his in-home visit with the Beckhams the third week of January, he came in a helicopter. Upon landing, he was greeted by Dorial, who then climbed into the aircraft.

A photograph of Dorial sitting in the aircraft was on the Internet within minutes. Not mentioned, though, was that his being in the helicopter was a violation of NCAA rules.

But Missouri knew it and the next day, offensive coordinator David Yost called John Beckham and told him he was headed to the university’s compliance office to report the violation.

My god, landing a helicopter on a recruits lawn, street, local park, whatevs is legit recruiting.  Elite.

If I was 18 and any decent BCS school dropped a helicopter in front of me, specifically for me, I would be all  :horrorsurprise:

Man, it would be fun to be a fan of a school for a day that actually cared about recruiting.

These types of stories are great.  Just imagine how fun that must be for them!

I'm saying those guys were difference makers, dumbass.  I didn't say anything about how highly projected they were.  And this guy has the potential to make as big of or a bigger impact than either of them.  I would pop a bottle of champagne if we got the #1 FB recruit in the country.

Sometimes these 4 or 5 star guys turn out to be really, really good.   I mean, no need to get all mad and list all the busts . . . because,  you know, sometimes, they win Heisman's, and Outlands and go on to big time NFL careers and are huge difference makers.

We have folks in this fan base that are so defensive about recruiting, that all they can do is roll out all the busts, and highly rated recruits that were mediocre at best.

Recruiting really highly rated guys takes some work . . . sure would like to think that this K-State staff isn't that afraid to target one or two high profile guys that could probably fit well into the K-State system and really go after them hard.   I don't know about you guys but a 4 Star Robert Griffin type QB could probably be pretty prolific in the K-State offense.    Yeah, recruiting guys like that does mean, you know, you've got to recruit them early, or you've got to, you know, go out and recruit them some more during the season and such.   It might actually mean that coaches have to go out more on Friday nights . . . are they still game planning on Friday nights at K-State?   Wow, no wonder its paralysis by analysis against better teams in bigger games.

See, wouldn't it be nice to look at kid and not have to project, or pull out discussions like, "Well, he's young, he only turned 18 . . . " or, "Well he's got great calfs, and he was 32-1 wrestling as a flyweight . . . " or, "He ran a 4.8 40, but it was on wet grass on a 46 degree day . . . "

Wouldn't it be nice to have a kid sign that you can say, "Golly, if he listens and works hard, he's gonna be a superstar . .  ."

Oh well, one can dream I suppose.

Yeah, when there are none.  That would be a good reason.     You guys could always go the Misssery route and just hire girls to influence recruits.   DBaGs g/f of 4weeks is who was calling the shots for that dude. haha.  At least she was somewhat good looking.  Classic picture of her and him that was going around on twitter.  She's pimping the Mizzou hat and he has this look on his face of "wtf did i just do?"   hahaha

Rivals has us 7th in the big 12 in the write up I saw.  They have MU 12th in the SEC write up with Arkansas 11th.  So go ahead and hang your hat on recruiting rankings.

Hmmm not in other ranking sites.  10/10  85th.   Which i dont hang hat on recruiting services. I go by the coaches evaluations.   yeah, most sites don't count juco transfers.  We had 2 4stars that weren't counted into the mix.  It's ok though.   We also had a 4star WR commit  that ended up signing with  OU because he didn't have the academics to enter the SEC.   That's how it goes in recruiting though.  Reading some of your fans comments are pretty funny though.  Some of you are happy just getting lower quality players and trying to coach them up.  Some of you want to go after higher ranked players which Snyder doesn't tend to do very often.   If you don't even try to go after those players you will never get them.  But, at least try!   Under our previous coaching staff, Nuttsack would never try to go after a highly recruited/ranked player unless they were in state.  We heard all kinds of excuses.   Yet, with BP.  That's all he does is go after better talent or the talent he evaluates to fit his system.  More often than not its a higher ranked player than our previous staff would have ever went after.

Hey, you guys did well this year. That's good.  #2 in the Big12.  Go with what works.  Obviously under Snyder it's coaching up.  Good luck next season.

Congrats on your 85th ranked recruiting class. You moved up 10spots from the last time i looked 3 weeks ago!  You guys are on your way!     I mean when you get 10th out of 10 teams in the Weak12.   You guys surely will win the conf. next year!   :ksu: :crossfingers:
This rube has obviously never heard of four heart players.

Dude, post that pic.  We are curious what kind of girl lands you a 5*
I'll see if i can find it.    Her name is Lainie...    Some are calling her LainieHumpsAlot.  hahaha.. Let me go check.

Sounds like he made a pretty dece choice to me.

Did the stalker thing for you guys.

The only reason recruiting 5 and 4 stars has been a waste of time is because we've sucked at it. If we were good at it we should totally do it.

Stoops must really be on the hot seat to win another title.
He has to justify that big raise he recently got.

Good chance he gets that, never plays a down for OU, and is a first rounder in next year's NFL draft. Good move by DGB.

That rough ridin' waiver better get denied.

I don't see how it doesn't get denied.

Basically two drug charges.
No way, right? :ohno:

Drug charges aren't the hurdle.

Quote
Oklahoma will pursue a waiver from the NCAA for junior WR Dorial Green-Beckham to gain immediate eligibility, according to beat writer Jason Kersey.

We doubt the NCAA grants such a waiver, as many who were given immediate eligibility in the past transferred due to family emergencies or medical issues. As far as we know, DGB does not have either. The receiver was dismissed from Missouri after a number of off-field issues. He could be on the scout team with Baker Mayfield for the entire season.
