this team shoots free throws worse than 5th graders.

Which is still better than this team...

False, I coach 5th graders and would kill for 4-14

You must be a terrible coach.

well this thread was blown apart by user gokatgo.

Are they 5th grade girls?
-
If I bitch about free throws enough then I can get excited when we make 7 in a row!
-
6th grade me shot very well from FT.
5th grade me did not.
-
me was 57% free throw shooter my senior year. I feel their pain.

You might have just posted your way out of the Wichita pak'rs.

Dammit Gooch....I love the fundamentals.
-
BMWW has clearly never seen 5th-graders play basketball.
-
Manhattan Hoop Holler 'n' Shoot Champion in 5th Grade. 9/10 in pre-lims, 4/5 during half time of Cats game to win it. You can all suck it, free throws aren't that hard.

Fundamentals are the crutch of the less talented.
-
I like when people compare percentages of going and shooting 10 free throws in a row to sprinting down the court, getting fouled, then lining up to shoot them two at a time.
-
I want us to shoot FTs better, (65% is my standard for Frank teams), but I'll take going 23-40 over going something like 9-10 every time.

Kind of my thoughts. I mean it pisses me off that we miss so many, but getting to the line that many times is going to win us more games than shooting a low % will lose games for us. If that makes any sense :dunno:

I want the KSU cats to make all their shots, both from the field and from the line. I once went 5-6 from the field and 4-4 from the line on a jv game. How hard can it be for d1 athletes to do better every game?

Good point. Plus in the 60s-80s pretty much every college team shot 85% from the FT line or better. These kids just work on shooting 3s and dunking, if they would just spend some time on them (and coaches would coach them better) then they should be able to shoot 85% today.

Deb's teams shoot well from the line. I'm not necessarily saying that we should have Deb coach the men, but its a thought

To be fair, Deb only has to worry about her girls just wanting work on to shooting 3s, since most of them can't dunk.

So you're saying we should recruit non-athletes that cannot dunk. I like where this is going....

You missed a shot from the floor? You suck.

I heard from an unreliable source that heard from a very reliable source that free-throws were emphasized in practice yesterday. So if it actually happened, I can't wait to see the results. The unreliable said that the reliable wouldn't give up any info on the indefinite suspension.
