Title: Indian Food
Post by: SuperG on December 21, 2011, 02:42:11 PM
My favorite is probably Saag Paneer... but Malai Kofta (see below) is pretty spectacular as well. I prefer it spicy.

I know absolutely nothing about indian food. Seems like a lot of indian food restaurants have "vegetarian" in their name. Are they all really vegetarian, and why?

even non-vegetarian Indian places have tons of vegetarian options.  most serve lamb and chicken though.

The tandoori places are a good place for novices... Tandoori style is kind like Indian BBQ... And try some cheese naan as well. And also some hot chai tea.

I haven't found one with food I didn't care for, but sometimes Indians tend to run a restaurant like a daycare center/place their relatives can hang out while they ignore serving you.

Masala's seemed ok, as well as Paradise India.

Yeah, just normal stuff plus the jalapeno usually.  They will sometimes have a fifth on tap.

And the beer is actually pretty legit.
