what is your point?

Whatever you want it to be fatty, open your mind, let go of the angst and rage.

KU: 12-1 with a win over #3 Va Tech in the Orange Bowl
K-State: 10-2 with a win over #12 Baylor and a Cotton Bowl.

seriously? Everybody worth a damn beats Va Tech in a bowl game. In '07 KU didn't play Tech, OU, or Texas. We played everybody in the confernce this year. Our 10-2 WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more impressive than the 12-1. A lot of crap teams on that '07 schedule.
-
Wow . . . 7 games against Final Top 25 teams in 2 seasons, vs . . . . 1

KU's SOS that year was identical to Ohio State's, and they played in the national title game.

LOL, god Va Tech was so horrible that year (just like every year). That Glennon guy was a scrub. Man, I still can't believe KU almost lost to them.

Interesting that you chose the years 06-07 for KU instead of 07-08. Why is that, 'Pad?

Virginia Tech's DoD >>> K-State's DoD

Because ku started their plummet . . . we all saw what happened when the schedule toughened up . . . 4, 1, 1, 0

Oh, that's interesting. I thought it was because KU played five ranked teams in the '08 regular season and finished the year 8-5 with an Insight Bowl.
-
By the way, Virginia Tech has eight consecutive 10+ win seasons. Just an unbelievable DoD they have going right now.

ku would have been bowl eligible in the acc. hell virginia is going to a bowl game

'grats to Dax, he earned this.
BMW is so stupid

Just thinking back to all the heat that K-State took over many of the last 20 years, yet, K-State never went a single season during that stretch without playing at least 2 Final Top 25 teams, and most years it was more, including multiple national champions.
ku goes 2 full seasons and plays 1 Final Top 25 team (a loss).
Grats to Mangino . . . one of the finest smoke and mirror jobs in college football history.

Six ranked teams from 07-08, but hey, you're a K-State fan, so you're naturally required to frame arguments in your favor based on arbitrary points in time.
-
You want to constantly take credit for 2007 Beems . . . yet you can't stand it when its pointed out that ku didn't play anybody.
What other point of time is there to point in ku football history over the last 30 years? That's right, none . . . with maybe the exception of 1995.
-
Grats to Mangino . . . one of the finest smoke and mirror jobs in college football history.
Mangino really doesn't get enough credit for this. He's not a good coach, but his Houdini act has a half dozen people thinking he might be. Well played Mark
-
Six ranked teams from 07-08, but let's go with the time frame that helps our argument. So typical of K-State. Never consistently good at any sport, with the exception of soil judging, so they have to pick and choose what years count. So sad.
-
Never consistently good . . . something like 20 NCAA tourney appearances and 17 league titles from 1951 to 1991, and for much of that time it was much harder to make the NCAA tourney.
4 straight 11 win seasons during Snyder 1 . . . ku has never even breathed on anything like that, ever.
-
Pffffftttttttt..... KU has seven straight conference titles and is one of two schools to win a BCS Bowl and national title in the same year. K-State isn't even in the same universe when it comes to athletic accomplishments.
-
Your point was that K-State has NEVER been consistently good in anything . . . and that is patently false.
Meanwhile, ku has one major sport that has NEVER been consistently good . . . ever.
-
K-State followed up a Big 12 title with a 4-7 season. Not very consistent.
-
K-State followed up a Big 12 title with a 4-7 season. Not very consistent.
Nobody denies, that, you keep trying to make a point and I keep slamming them all right across the net winning the point.
ku football: Good 1 season every 10 to 15 years.
-
K-State followed up a Big 12 title with a 4-7 season. Not very consistent.
What did ku follow their big 12 title with?
-
Haha.... I killed your talking point in about two seconds. 07-08. LOL.
-
But that's what we said all along, as soon as the schedule toughend up, ku football fell flat on its face . . . 4,1,1,0, right back to being the worst football program in the Big 12.
-
LOL. KU won 8 games in 08 when the schedule toughened up.
-
LOL. KU won 8 games in 08 when the schedule toughened up.
Yet the plummet back to being the worst (again) football program in the Big 12 began.
4,1, 1, 0 . . .
-
Haha.... one bad hire and now it's back to owning K-State again. God, I love it.
-

Back to owning? You've spent the majority of your life watching K-State kick ku's ass up and down the football field.

Help me out here....what's ku's record against 'Cat teams the last 2 years?
Big 12 conference football wins? Only behind Texas and OU. ku only AHEAD of Baylor, and that won't last much longer.
But...but...ku won a BCS game! You can judge how pathetic a program is when they gauge their success by a single football game.

Not butthurt. Did ku win the orange bowl? yes. was it a good season? yes. does their season of relevance make them a better program than KSU like they claim? No.

Stomped? KU had the ball with under a minute to go, down by a touchdown.
-
All time Cotton Bowls/Orange/Fiesta/Rose/Sugar
KSU: 4 (2-2)
KU:3 (1-2)
and thats not even counting the 3 or 4 times we've been screwed, and counting the one time KU's AD obviously sucked the Orange Bowl committee drier than a Kansas field to get in.

The quality of programs is fluid. They were a better program then. Then they got passed by us. Someday, they'll pass us again. Then we'll pass them.
And so on.

Awesome. Watching Moo play the CCG is "winning the division".
When will you guys give this up? KU and Mizzou tied for the division. Mizzou won the tiebreaker.

sorry losing to the 1 team in the nation is the second greatest game in KU history, you would have the score memorized. i was off by 3 points, i dont need to "regroup"

I guess thats what he's trying to say. Doesn't seem that great though. 2 wins over ranked teams in like 5 years? If I'm being honest, I'm not all that impressed by that.
-
Dax: Out of curiousity- do you generally go the catch and release route? If so- How many pics of Ben do you have hanging over your mantle? Do you hold a tape measure next to him or just let people get a feeling for size by holding him up next to you? TIA.

I'm not saying it is really bad or anything either.
Let me ask this, are the expectations what CW equal or exceed this?
He has certainly made it clear that the 5th row stat will be his Super Bowl, at least for now. He hasn't discussed much of his other goals. Although, I'd be seriously surprised if he knew exactly what he was working with yet. It seemed the job offer kind of caught him out of the blue.
-
I would coach KU for 12.5 mill, and love every minute of the ass beatings over the course of those 5 years.
-
When I evaluate K-State's success in football, I use a measuring stick in parity with K-State's success, like Texas, not some neverwas premature ejaculator like ku. Measuring K-State's success in football by comparing it to ku, is like an umpire using a micrometer to walk off 60' 6"
KU has never, ever, been relevant in football. Even when they thought they were, they were not. KU fans should cozy up to old newspaper stories about Gayle Sayers, because that's all they have. GMAFB.
Meanwhile, K-State has 6 BCS top 10 finishes 13 years of BCS bullshit.
-
Listening to KU and KSU fans bicker about which football team is more relevant is like listening to two whores argue about which one of them will gain the respect of a man first.

Says the Razorback fan.

Arkansas hasn't won an outright conference title since 1989 and that was the SWC.
Arkansas has been to 1 BCS level Bowl in the last 30 years.
So I don't understand why Arkansas fans are on this board acting like Arkansas is some sort of football super power.
-
What's next? Cyclone and Baylor fans jumping on board to tell us how irrelevant we are?
-

Says the Arkansas fan dumpster diving for the leftover accomplishments of SEC West schools with tangible accomplishments to somehow elevate their program.
-
WE ONLY LOST TO TWO TEAMS (IN OUR OWN DIVISION!!!)
-
The SEC East outside of Georgia is a joke, and Arkansas didn't play them. The SEC West outside of LSU, Bama and Auburn is a joke and you went 1-2 against those schools. Congrats

But Arkansas plays in such a hard conference you guys!!!!
