Tarc (5-star center KU had been recruiting for a long time) just committed to Arizona. KU fans want Townsend fired.

who is Townsend, who were you recruiting, and who cares?
Also, is there going to be an open tryout for KU hoops next week? Like that one movie with Mark Wahlberg where he becomes a Philadelphia Eagle because he's a blue collar badass?
-
Someone needs get the Compton Spot Light lit . . . time up the offer, and remind the youngster he'll be "roommates" with Compton's kid who will forgetfully leave piles of money, Rolex's and clothing store gift cards laying around.
-
It will get ugly when they turn on the bball staff like they have on turner. Could the phog survive a mediocre basketball season?

What the hell is going on? Why don't these guys want to come here? Especially after reading Beyond the Phog and how many of them came here and there was nowhere else they would possibly want to go. Wtf is going on recently?

Doug Compton is a jock sniffing fanboy coke fiend. Whatever he brings to the program in terms of illicit payments is marginalized by his general level of creepiness.

it's very tough to accept that willie cauley doesn't care about the big 12. i knew the polish kid didn't just by looking at him.

Townsend hasn't been the same since he was busted for having sex with that porn star.

I know. If it can happen to him it can happen to any of us.

need a status report from Ninth and New Hampshire, Lawrence, KS, USA.
-
I would assume as long as KU is still having students enroll that need a place to rent, he will be fine. Not hire-the-next-recruit's-mom-for-a-$100k-salary-reception-job, but still fine.
That said, KU's enrollment has been trending downward at an alarming rate. It's a good thing Doug jr got his bad ass car already. May not be another one for a few years.

Is Sean Miller the Scott Drew of the Pac 12?

I wonder how his developments in Junction City are doing, and if the tax holiday on those have ended yet? I bet he didn't set any money aside to pay that--real painful if occupancy rate is down.

His involvement in Junction City is pretty limited from an actual ownership standpoint, he gets his money from collecting management fees for doing absolutely nothing.
Also amusing that First Management has contracts for several apartment complexes in Manhattan.

no, he is not.

Did Compton quit hiring and giving players parents "jobs"?

From that thread:
How's this for sour grapes. Nobody's going to give a chit because everybody across the country will be in bed when Arizona is playing. Maybe Tarc didn't want to be seen on TV. If that's the case he's a smart young man.
Seriously. Are they on any big monday's? If they are, when do they start? Something like 11:00 eastern time? This is why I wanted no part of the Pac 12 in all the conference realignment. If you ask anybody east of the Mississippi River, or hell east of the Colorado/Kansas border who Arizona lost to their first game, nobody(well hardly anybody) would know they even played. So with that so called embarrasing loss, they have that going for them I guess.
Having said all of that, I think Sean Miller and Scott Drew are both good coaches. Drew is a little less than a POS however. But if it's our POS and our team has never done anything before, we'd love him.

Arizona players have really struggled to get noticed. He gets west coast eyes, a hot coach and a program that just put a guy in the top 2. All while playing in Tucson
-
No West Coast team has ever been able to overcome the time zone barrier dead zone to have sustained success on the national level -- much less match the sqwawks' proud history. Never, ever, ever. Pretty much the 1st commandment of college basketball.
