CK runs just fine and he's a big dude like a Bishop or a Beasley. It's just whether or not he can throw worth a crap. He had big numbers at the SG but his throwing motion is pretty damn ugly.If we can construct an offense in which Carson Coffman, who had limited arm strength, to say the least, had a high passing efficiency, I would hope that we can do the same with The Chamber.
Not sure how much arm strength CK has. He short arms the ball pretty bad. Course, it won't take much to have a better arm than CCQ. Also important- not throwing every out route straight into the turf. After watching the spring game (which admittedly, is pretty shaky evidence), The Chamber at least has the capacity to make a 40-45 yard throw downfield. I don't even remember K-State attempting that kind of vertical game last season.

the kid is a quarter horse. as long as he has decent accuracy and makes good decisions we'll move the ball. Hard to contend with a 220lb speed back and a 235lb QB that can break tackles. Looked to have pretty decent footspeed (4.6ish) on that long TD run vs. KU.

I'm not convinced at all that the O-line will be fine. Charlie gives me some hope though.CK runs just fine and he's a big dude like a Bishop or a Beasley. It's just whether or not he can throw worth a crap. He had big numbers at the SG but his throwing motion is pretty damn ugly.

I think we'll be pretty good on offense. Oline should be fine, RB and WR is rough ridin' stacked. CK just has to be mediocre and we'll score quite a bit. Defense though....

Talked to my source (equip manager) that watches practices every day. Says Klein is getting "too good" for Sams to make a run at him this year. Also says Klein's deep ball is "money", and he is worried we won't have enough protection for him to throw it.

dark horse.
i talked to a source this past weekend who told me in no uncertain terms that we will suck yet again at quarterback this fall.
My source says Koug's source has Down's. Boom, respected!

psh. i've been mad at almost everything about K-State football since 2004. the qb is the rule, not the exception.

Was there ever a more depressing and earth-shattering year than 2004? I mean, 2001 was a little tough but you could still see sparks of talent and potential in there. 2004 was so confusing, though. I just didn't understand what was going on. I mean, why is Sproles carrying the ball 40 times in the opener against whoever Tech? Why is Fresno State scoring so many touchdowns? How is Missouri still not beating us?

The Fresno game was effing baffling. I just kinda figured we had a bit of B12C hangover for most of the year, like we still had a good team but were missing that hunger. I was sorely mistaken.I had a feeling it was going to be bad when the Fresno State players were pushing our players around before the game and overall treating our players like punks. It was foolish to think our suprise defensive score early in the game was going to change that tone.
