“I’m on my way to Lawrence right now. I’m going to be in Lawrence most of the summer,” former Kansas University center Aldrich revealed in a cell-phone interview.

Working at taco johns now?

Working at taco johns now?
I think he'll survive on the ~$2.3 million he made last season with the OKC Thunder.
-
Sounds like a loser. Hope he finds the validation that he is so desperately seeking.

You mean the Tulsa 66ers?
-
Any sighting of him cruising through town in his Bentley?! :excited:
-
Where else is he gonna go? He's from Loserville, Minnesota and I'm sure his current teammates don't enjoy hanging out with toothless losery types.
-
Bet Lawrentucky has some dentists that are great at dealing with toothless losery types. Its probably like Mecca for them.
-
saw that tall ginger that played at ku a couple years ago at the falloon on friday, he had a sports coat on.

Can get down k-10 quickly from lawrenctucky for autographs at the Goodcents
-
Remember that time Beems started a thread talking about how much KU players love returning to Lawrence and saying that Mike Beasley and Bill Walker would never step foot in Manhattan again after they left, only to find out that both of them had already returned to Manhattan to visit, along with NFL superstars Josh Freeman, Terence Newman, Darren Sproles, Jordy Nelson, etc?

Today we take a look at one of the Thunder's young draftees, Cole Aldrich. Aldrich had difficulty seeing NBA action this season, dividing much of his time between sitting on the bench in street clothes and spending time in Tulsa playing for the D-League team, the Tulsa 66ers.
Aldrich really only saw floor time when the team was in the middle of a rout, so Aldrich's moments to shine were relegated to garbage time. Players like Aldrich need to make an impression whenever they get the opportunity, and in the few times early in the season that Aldrich had a shot, he did struggle. Poor play in pressure-less environments lent further credence to the notion that Cole did not yet have the workman's persona that the Thunder require. For example, in the team's win against the 76ers on November 10, he managed to commit four fouls and three turnovers in a scant nine minutes of play

more like Lawrentucky, KS, where NBA careers go to get killed in a violent homicidal event.

'Grats Beemser!!! Most KU fans that I know have already thrown him under the bus now that he is a draft bust and they don't need him anymore.
"he really wasn't that good"
"he got in the way of the offense a lot"

"Yo what's up, this is Cole Aldrich talking back. Yeah, I got your message. I can't wait to come back to Lawrence and dunk the ball all over you motherfuckers. It will be the greatest day in Kansas basketball history. I can't wait to go in there and rough ridin' drop 20-10 on you goddamned motherfuckers. I guess if measured in rubles it might be pricey...but $250 wouldn't cover the tip to the bishop at most places.

If they can somehow scrape up the $250. Can't get a single unity candle at a rich folk wedding for that. Poor sash.
-
Limestone is right, poor people get married there all the time. I've been to two weddings there and both came from poor families.
It's awful. During your wedding myriad ethnic picnics and bbq's are going down and they don't give a eff about your ceremony. Loud music, screaming kids, adults who can't control their voice inflection. Hell, they'll literally blow right through the ceremony screaming and chasing their kids. Meanwhile every car in the parking lot is being checked for unlocked doors and cracked windows. Anyone who forgets to lock-up will soon be deprived of all personal property in their vehicle along with any removable equipment. I believe the wedding coordinator tells you to remind everyone to lock their cars and keep their belongings with them during the ceremony. However, the roses are very pretty in the summer time.

Sasha Kaun is not poor.

But, for a world traveler with a 7 figure trust fund a tax deductible charitable donation of $100 should be no problem.

Was in vancouver in may can't wait to go back. Did you hit the suspension bridge area or grouse mountain beems?
Only stayed there for a couple nights. Mostly just shopped in the downtown area and partied in Gastown. I'm hoping to go back as soon as I get a chance, though. It's about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Portland.
-
Awesome if you get a chance you should hit the granville island area specifically granville market

I like it better when I think you are all my peers, not "grown ass men." This makes me think of fat hairy guys that can't see their dick.
So...I'm glad no grown ass men went....it'd be a disgusting to watch Jake sign anything of theirs.
It's just pathetic when someone referred to as the best KSU ever, get him to the rafters, fear the beard, can be approached after waiting in line between two people 20 minutes into his "autograph session." I went because I thought Pullen deserved the support and should be shown at every turn how much he is appreciated for his KSU career.

Might actually take the light rail next time. I actually kind of enjoy the drive through the evergreen forests and mountains in the Northwest, though.
I hate to break it to you, amigo, but you can't take light rail from Portland to Vancouver. You can take light rail from one end of Portland to the other, though. Maybe you mean Amtrak (?). I'll try not to form any judgments about the extent to which your time at Wave the Wheat U may have limited your awareness of common modes of public transportation. While my K-State bros and I are planning our escapes from "Stumptown" (or, as I like to call it, "Flanneltown USA, population white million"), you're enjoying the heck out of this place. Good on you, friend, for reminding us that people with more limited experiences can find a small, dank, under-the-radar city like Portland so endlessly fascinating.

Saw one of those Gangland shows a week or so ago. It was about some Aryan Brotherhood type of thing based out of Portland. Oh, and they also had a gathering place in MO. Can't remember the name of the gang... Regardless, Ben is a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). He's spent his entire life within 30 miles of Topeka. To him, a train is a train is train but he tries to bigtime us. Hope the poor kid finds a nice fatty to nest with soon. You know, the kind
that is really down with argyle and red wine?

Was in vancouver in may can't wait to go back. Did you hit the suspension bridge area or grouse mountain beems?
Only stayed there for a couple nights. Mostly just shopped in the downtown area and partied in Gastown. I'm hoping to go back as soon as I get a chance, though. It's about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Portland.
Fly?

Sorry... the correct term would be "high-speed rail." You can take the foot off of the pretentious douchebag pedal now, bro.

Beating BYU and superstar Jimmer >>>>>>>> Beating KU and two respects, a wannabe teabagger, a drunken white boy, a human sized weasel, etc...
The multiple DVD's disagree.
14-1 is just killing.

Pullen's biggest achievement is setting the KSU scoring record imho. Amazing feat against the vastly improved defenses of the past. Sorry Evans.
In terms of Kansas? We expect to beat KU in the 'Gon now. It's not good enough to make it a game. Pullen let us know they they are our bitch now. So. there's that.

Actually, the correct term might be something like "regular-speed rail." Pretty sure you can't take high-speed rail from Portland to Vancouver...or Portland to anywhere. That $590-million project was announced about 18 months ago. Would be a pretty impressive upgrade if already completed. When done, it will go from a 3-3.5-hour trip (max speed of 79 mph) to a 2.5-hour trip. Slightly faster than driving. Yawn.
Also...my effing handle is TheProdigiousTalent. Do you honestly expect me to be anything other than a pretentious douchebag?

Amtrak has placed a large crown between the rails so that their trains are always running down hill

It's hell on the defense when they run the option.
