First time she gets lippy, smack the crap of her.  Hard.  Kills two birds with one stone because it will keep your wife in line as well.

you're more or less banging her younger delegate.  you should try being a nice person to her. is she mean or do you just not like her?

its not so much that she's mean, just really annoying. will call the house at least 4 times a day, no joke. also, she will consistently invite the wife over for dinner, but not me. just seems odd. is this normal behavior?

Your wife is going over there to complain about you and plot her escape route after she leaves you.

I'd start hiding things you don't want her to take when she leaves in the middle of the night.  CD's, movies, etc.

I'm confused as to why in the rough ridin' world this would bother you.  I pray for things like this to happen.  Talk about two birds with one stone.

Yup - nothing better than a night at home by yourself. No desire to eat dinner at their house either.

yeah, we have a house phone. I don't know why. Mrs. KCFD ordered time warner and they convinced her we couldn't get internet without getting a phone

Will probably just ignore all of these problems until it all comes out at once and I murder someone. just be sure to watch your local 10 o'clock news for updates.

Can she cook? Mine is a little crazy, but she's nice and is an awesome cook. Every time she visits, it's like living in a lebanese restaurant. kanefi, shish taouk, lebneh, shawarma, olives, and fresh pita ALL OVER THE PLACE! AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE MANA-ISH (<--maybe I should move to pizza thread?)

But seriously. Be nice to your mother-in-law. Your wife will eff you for it.

Anyone have in-laws that don't drink?  That was painful as hell.  Caught a break because they lived several states away but visiting always sucked.  They wouldn't allow anyone to drink at their house and I would have to leave to go fill up the car with gas just so I could buy some beer to slam.  Pretty sure that makes me an alchy but I'll wait for the 1bigwillie to confirm that.

Completely normal for navigating how to see your daughter when she is married to an bad person.

My in-laws drink. One time, my father in law (who doesn't speak English) saw me crushing Cherry Coke Zeros all day and told my wife I was drinking beer all morning.

It's not normal.  But as stated above.   Who the eff cares?   Hating on your mo-in-law is a no win situation.  In fact, if you were to talk about how great your mother in law is, your "wide" as you put it above, would probably not love her so much and tend to take your side when your MIL talks crap on you.  (which is what they're doing when she's on the phone or having dinner without you)  My advice, whenever your wife is invited over for dinner without you; just say something like "That sounds great, You need to spend time with your mom and I was thinking I'd do some laundry/dishes"  Then grab a brew, drink your dinner & watch some movies your wife hates.    Seriously, why the eff are you complaining about this?

Yeah, this is all pretty much what I do.  I'm not saying I don't like the free night I get every week or so, was just curious as to if this was normal or not. get off my balls man.

Does sound like they're plotting something though.  So, either you have a surprise party coming up or you're going to get served with divorce papers.  (Which is even better.)  Start making plans on who you're going to bang first if it's the latter.

Year and a half. Everyone in the family knows I hate her mom, the wife, the mother-in-law, the father-in-law. Everyone. Weird because I love the father in law  :dunno:

If I have to be near her I'm just normal, only I avoid talking to her if possible (it never is) I don't really care to make a big deal out of my hatred for her, although she tries to bring it up sometimes (something I find extremely strange)

Not necessarily an alcoholic.  Ass-bonging wine with a turkey baster while hiding in a closet would be a problem though.
