Can't even remember the last time we played on a Wednesday in the Big 12's. Must have been 06?

Head to head record = split
then
record against your "division" right?

sd, BITB and you differ greatly on tiebreaker scenarios.

Though kenpom takes account for home court advantage, I don't think his formulas account for the severe drop-off that a team like MU has away from home.  Plus, MU's style leads to inflated numbers against inferior opponents.  They are one of the few teams, because of their style of play, that kenpom really doesn't gauge as well as it should.

KSU rolls in this one 80-65 or somewhere in that range.

Yes, record against the "division" is the next tiebreaker. KSU would be 6-4 against the division. If MU were to beat NU we'd need them to lose to KU. Of course, if NU, CU or BU win out there could be a three way tie.  :ohno:

Was trying to find some info on the Cat Baseball game and stumbled across this little gem.  Was lolling at this Catman30 dude.  Can't tell if he's serious or a total tool.  Thought I'd share.

Well I'll probably only have a 12 pack before the game so there won't be any throwing up. As for the pissing during the game, dude, I've got a adult diaper already packed. I'm going to keep filling it up during the game and then after I'm going to wing it at the missou bus as they pull away.........its the least I could do....

Sounds like a real gameday warrior, would be awesome, but mostly embarrassing if he actually hurled a bag of piss at the MU bus

Mizzou games in the FM era:

in the 4 meetings in Columbia, cats are 0-4 with an avg margin of -11.3 pts
in the 3 meetings in Manhattan, cats are 3-0 with an avg margin of 21.0 pts

Not necessarily. MU could finish 9-7 by losing to KSU and NU and beating KU. Assuming KSU is 9-7 as well, we need to cheer hard for Doc as we'd need NU to finish ahead of CU. Losing twice to CU could really sting.

Yep, that or KU beats MU and then it won't matter as we would have the tie break against the #1 north team should we both end 9-7 and both have 6 north wins.

KenPom was on with Nick Wright yesterday.  Sounded surprisingly normal.

I was expecting him to sound like the kid with glasses on Role Models.

How does Bramlage Coliseum compare to some of the other places you played in the Big 12?

I think Bramlage is one of the hardest places to play in the Big 12. Personally I believe it's the worst. I don't know what it is about it, but the dungeon feel mixed with their ridiculous student fanbase just puts you in a rut. The building seems so dark and the crowd makes you feel like anything good you do is less than nothing while on the other hand, anything K-State does is the most amazing thing known to man. Their noise level is what really sets them apart. If the crowd gets into the game, thats just the more dangerous their team becomes.

Saturday's game is huge as far as a bye in the Big 12 tournament. How big a deal is having that extra day off?

Having that day off is very important. It gives you a chance to see how intense things get, and for this team and its newcomers that's definitely a plus. Tournament season is a whole new ball game. Everything becomes do or die. No tomorrows. And the lower seeded teams become the most dangerous teams because they have nothing to lose.

Give me a prediction on the K-State game.

This is going to be a tough game. All out brawl so I hope the Tigers bring their hard hats. They will need to play as the ultimate team and stay in tune with the game, no matter what happens. Fouls will not be called for them, but they will be called on them. Play will be extra rough and there will be bumps and bruises after the game. The Tigers will bring home the first win there in the CMA era if they don't step out of their team game and strategy. No individual play, forced shots, and mental lapses can be afforded. K-State will feed off the crowd, so all their baskets need to be limited and worked for. I all their momentum is counteracted with an attack from the Tigers, good things will happens and the Tigers should succeed. If the crowd is allowed in the game, things could get ugly. Ball pressure, no stupid fouls, containment of Jacob Pullen, and board control will tell the tale of the game. Home court gives confidence to role players but I believe if you cut them off at the head (Jacob Pullen and Curtis Kelly) they will crumble.

Hey J.T. Tiller, get off our d1cks already.
