Now GTFO already.

I would also like to encourage anyone with an ESPN user name to get on the comments and trash those losers without mercy.

Ha, Nebraska hasn't won a trophy in a while, as far as I can tell.

Really glad that we don't have to worry about that mouthbreather Pelini embarrassing our conference any longer. I bet the Big 10 is really excited to pick up that trainwreck of a football program and also add one of three BCS schools to have never won an NCAA tournament basketball game. At least they'll add a good women's volleyball team to their conference.  :dunno:

According to the Nubby posts you would think they are uprooting the entire state and moving it to some empty space between Indiana and Ohio. What is going to fill the empty(ier) space up north?

This.  Will be nice when sports bars no longer feel obligated to hang up Husker gear.  KC will strictly be KU, MU, and KSU (with a few sprinkles of Havs.....they can have Kelly's).

Meanwhile the largest Metro areas in Big 10 Country will be dominated by Michigan, Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin fans.

Kind of like K-Sucks football from 1896 to 1996 huh? Course Daxi, you did have your mythical decade of dominance right?
The team has an all-time record of 466–610–41 as of the conclusion of the 2010 season.

Hold on tight to that 03 trophy it'll be a long and bumpy ride till 2103 when KSU will have another shot. :embarrassed:

One good thing came out of this though. Everytime I see the word cornhole I think of you since you have a definite affinity for the word.

Please stay in the Carolinas, you seem to fit right in there.

Pride this thread is about Cornhole, not about K-State, please quit being your usual dumbass self.

One thing I am going to miss is the regular beat downs we put on their other "major" sport, albeit, it is a double edge sword.   The regular wins are good, but with the departure of one of the most underachieving major conference D1 basketball programs in NCAA history, a program with ZERO NCAA tourney wins, it only makes the Big 12 that much tougher.   The worst thing about it is, most of the bandwagon Cornhole Football fans (like Pride for example) don't give a $hit about basketball, well, I guess they do . . . if Creighton is good.

Typical Daxi. Still on those female hormone shots? Arguing with you is like fighting with a female  trying to turn the table.
The thread is titled "Goodbye, Nebraska" on the football board dumbass.

Did your parents have any kids that lived? Someone needs to throw some bleach into your gene pool.

I think I speak for the rest of the country when I say that when I think of Kansas basketball it sure isn't K-state. That would be THE KANSAS JAYHAWKS. What is this Creighton you speak of?

You're going to go there with the "most under achieving title" Really?? Since Football is the collegiate cash cow NU obviously makes football a priority. Maybe K-Sucks should do the same after they pay off Prince.

This thread is "Goodbye Cornhole", not "Goodbye Cornhole Football".

So, in one major sport Cornhole is one of the worst all time programs in NCAA history, failing to win 1 game in the NCAA post season.  Seven Decades of the NCAA tournament, and 2 decades of 64+ plus teams having the opportunity to win at least 1 game every year, and Cornhole has ZERO wins.    Cornhole was so desperate they taxed the crap out of the dumbass Cornhole Nation to build the Bob Devaney Center, and now they'll tax the crap out of more dumb Nebraskans for yet another Basketball arena in pursuit of the elusive solitary NCAA tournament win.

Ya know Daxi, for a bean counter you don't know as much as you think you do. NU just gave the go ahead for stadium renovations for basketball and football w/o blinking an eye. Theres plenty in the coffers because of NU's fiscal responsibility unlike K-Sucks.

But hey you just keep beating that BB drum Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). The guys just to the east of Mancrappin laugh at your  supposed BB superiority.

Pride . . . K-State athletics finished FY 2011, 11 million dollars in the black.   You clearly don't know any of the history of how the Devaney Center got built  and clearly don't understand the financing behind the new basketball arena, nor do you understand the financing around all the stadium renovations that have been done at Cornhole . . . meanwhile the academic side of Cornhole U. has been cutting academic programs and budgets right and left the past 2 or 3 years.    In fact there are a multitude of athletic facilities at Cornhole that have been built with a significant portion of the funds coming directly from the taxpayers.   K-State has not had a taxpayer funded athletic facility built in 61 years.

There were at least $5.01 million dollars in budget cuts for academic and academic support programs at UN-L in FY 2011, the 2 or 3rd straight year of significant cuts. But hey the taxpayers of Cornhole will ensure that the Cornhole athletes will always have the best, while the academic side suffers through cuts in budgets and staff reductions.   Nice Work Cornhole!!

But that isn't really what this thread is about.

Did you ever consider that the cuts were needed? Maybe the cuts  were made to programs that were obsolete. Don't throw the word cuts around w/o info on specifics and the why's and why nots. Daxi you are the most ambiguous SOB I have ever come across.

But it is nice to know that while you weren't on here posting every other minute. You were indeed googling NU academics to try and seem informed.

But it has been confirmed that you have a cornhole fetish  But, that isn't what this thread is about is it?

On another note. The Big 10 wouldn't of accepted an institution with low academic standards. But keep bringing that lunch pail loser.

HuskerCornholePride . . . just because I know where to look when I need to find out information as to the budgets, spending and business situations of an enterprise is no reason to get all mad.

You, like most Bandwagon Cornhole Fans are simply a product of being spoon fed information by the Cornhole Propaganda machine and the sycophantic Cornhole Media.

You, like most bandwagon Cornhole fans simply spew forth the propaganda that Cornhole U. wants you to hear while never taking the time to understand what's really going on.   Just on one issue alone, facilities tells us that Cornhole Athletics has reaped millions of dollars over the last 3 or 4 decades directly from the Taxpayers of Nebraska in order to build facilities, Cornhole has borrowed millions to build facilities (nothing wrong with that, but you like most Cornholes try to paint a picture that the money was just laying around in a vault).    Without direct tax payer support there is no Bob Devaney Center, there is no Haymarket Ballpark and there is no new basketball arena.    The state of Cornhole is facing hundreds of millions of dollars in budget deficits, the City of Lincoln is facing budget deficits, Cornhole U. has faced budget cuts for over 3 years . . . yet Cornhole is going to build a tax payer supported new basketball arena when the current TAXPAYER funded basketball arena is perfectly fine.    Even Doc Osborne is there talking about how the TAXPAYERS are going to save Cornhole Athletics a bunch of money on renovating the BDC, a taxpayer funded facility that apparently Doc isn't too keen on maintaining, now cutting back on all the upgrades because the taxpayers (bilked again) are going to build Cornhole basketball a new arena.

HEy everybody, Public Schools across Nebraska face budget cuts, teacher and staff layoffs . . . but rest easy, one of the crappiest basketball programs in history is going to get a  new basketball arena on the taxpayer dime, they'll be moving out of the other perfectly fine taxpayer funded basketball arena.

Nebraska fans won't go away, they'll be down here in Kansas using our lakes and waterways since they don't really have very many of their own.  So we will still be plagued by Cornholes at our parks, blaring the "Big Red" game broadcasts while wearing their jorts and beating their wives and kids.

I'm going to miss the hilarity that comes each and every season when they lose a game and then blame it on anyone but themselves.  It's always the refs that cheated. Always.

Except for when Callahan was there, poor guy couldn't catch a break. Won 9 games and still got the boot.  :users:

I will miss their whining and crying when they lose.  Even their top guys cry and whine.  Bo cries more than a 13 year old girl at a Bieber concert.

If you think that by refering to me or NU as "Cornhole " gets me upset your wrong. It just shows your maturity.

You, like most fans of futility U are simply products of a fan base with a huge inferiority complex. You and those of your ilk have also tried to live up to big brother in Lawrence to no avail. Throughout futility U's pedestrian existence you have been looked upon as no more than just another scrimmage.

Futility U as with most universities is state supported but unlike futility U most are much more fiscally responsible (ie: the Prince "buyout"). The reason UNL reaps is because of fan support. If you think for a second that UNL could build these facilities w/o the blessings of the tax payers you are sadly mistaken.

You think you have all the answers, but you yourself are nothing but a self centered little PROPAGANDA machine for the minions here that exalt you. Your egotism is truly amazing.

Do you feel guilty cashing your paychecks? Because if you have been at work today you have spent the vast majority of it on this site pumping your own ass and bilking the company you work for out of monies.

You are as unproductive as your football program and athletic department  is inept.

http://www.kmbc.com/politics/21703738/detail.html

http://www.allbusiness.com/education-training/education-administration/12425431-1.html

How many new training facilities and stadium improvements are in the works for futility U, a state supported University?

The difference between the two is that we aren't shipping the taxpayers money off to Virginia ( wherever Prince is) because of inappropriate, super secret dealings with university employees.  You truly are scary smart

Hey everybody, the most inept football program in the history of the NCAA is going to get stadium improvements.

Get the eff over yourself Daxi. You're not as smart as you would have some believe here. You're a spin doctor of the highest rough ridin' degree who probably jerks off staring at your own reflection.

Pride . .

As usual with this site, a Nebraska thread is going to three pages now. This only goes to prove the immense and constant obsession with NU and it's fans that all KSucks fans have. The envy and jealousy of all things Husker is evident throughout all of Daxi's rantings.

Be honest with yourselves and just realize that Ksucks will always be an afterthought to anyone outside of the Kansas borders. You had your day in the sun in the late 90's, which goes to prove that the sun does shine on a pigs ass from time to time.

So continue on with this circle jerk of a site and let the pustule of society, Daxi, be your swing guy. I now go down the hall to once more explain to the Ksucks graduate who resides there how to "run" the excel program on their computer thingy.

You guys truly are little brother to KU. :bawl:

Yep, the "afterthought outside the Kansas Borders" has had ESPN Gameday Crews on campus for BOTH football and basketball.    Putting K-State in rarified air.

The problem with Cornhole is that's it's such a BFE state that it can't support 2 Carnegie Tier 1 Research Universities like Iowa and Kansas can.

Well the "new day" for Cornhole football is losing 3 to 4 games a year, and decades without conference titles.

You're outting yourself as illiterate in two languages:  ¿quieres decir 'la panocha'?  A far better retort would've been, "Is it El Gato or El Pato?" something like that . . .  :flush:
You out yourself as an overeducated snob. Not going for proper

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pinocha

So you don't know how "el" and "la" work? It would be La Pinocha.

Man, you don't know Spanish or English!!
You should have this argument with FormerKCcat Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). Jeebus you guys are amazing.

Uh, I think Stevesie and I are in agreement that you ARE, in fact, illiterate in two languages.  Nothing wrong with speaking español properly, it's in my heritage (plus, when I was single, it opened up a lot more dating options; ladies appreciate a well-spoken man, Huskerpride, try it out).   :bartender:
Well cac, coming from two Rhoads scholars such as you and Stevsie that hurts to the core of my being. I had no problems when I was single thank you.

When people point out grammar on a message board. It is usually a sure sign that they feel the need to bolster their own sense of self-worth.

Since you're a Ksucks fan you should have no problem telling me what that's like. Except for a true comparison it would have to be 6 or 7 losses a year.

I hope you're a better bean counter than soothsayer.

It's painful for bandwagon Cornhole Fans like pride knowing that it's now going on 12 years since Cornhole has even won a conference title.

They'll likely become like South Carolina or Arkansas, stuffing the stadium, every year will be "The Year", but alas at the end, it'll be at least 3 or 4 losses.

Their internal rage will build and build.

Bandwagon? I've been a Husker fan since the early 70's. It's all cyclical as they say, but god forbid it should last as long as a KSU cycle of 90 plus years.

Care to put some money where your mouth is big shot? NU will still be relevant while poor KSU will still be just another scrimmage.

At least there is one positive. NU will now be playing the original purple wildcats from Northwestern. Hell, KSU even had to copy the mascots name. Nothing about your posts or your school is original. Don't you have some W-2's to mail out?

Bandwagon Cornhole Fans like Pride for example will be left with nothing but roaming the Internet looking for message boards to defend his slightly above mediocre football program on . . . the rage will really build when Cornhole fans realize they just moved from being down the pecking order in one conference, to being down the pecking order in another conference.   But what do you expect from a school who said they weren't going to surrender to other programs, only to pick up their stuff and run like little girls a few years later.

https://www.yahoo.com/travel/12-ways-to-p-ss-off-a-nebraskan-91881013497.html

5. Assume that we want a professional sports team.

On the topic of blackshirts, why would we need a professional sports team when we have the Cornhuskers? On game days, Memorial Stadium becomes the third-largest city in the state. You bleed red, but we bleed Husker red. We sell out stadiums, chug Elk Creek, and down Runzas while humming the tunnel walk. Nothing else matters.

6. Tell us we used to be good at football.

And one more thing about football. There are two ways to really get a Nebraskan’s blood boiling. The first is to reference the Husker domination in the ’90s as some kind of distant memory — it’s still very real to us. Second, don’t ask us who Tom Osborne is. If you don’t know, then kindly leave our state.

If by “fly over” you mean that we soar above all over states, then carry on. But if you mean that we are invisible and unimportant, I’ll just name-drop Warren Buffett again.

My favorite is this part:

"Rutgers? Why in the world would Nebraska join the Big Ten?"

"Well, to get away from the Big 12. That league was falling apart."

I didn't realize the Big 12 was falling apart until Nubbs up and left. The mental gymnastic to get to that point is amazing.

"So let me get this straight. We're in the Big Ten now. We don't play Oklahoma. We play Rutgers, not Ohio State. There are tickets available for home games. The A.D. says we're stable. The coach makes $3 million and hasn't won a league title or been to a major bowl. There's a national championship playoff and we're ranked 22nd. The Big Eight's gone. Players are getting money. And Kansas State has a bigger game than we do."

Man, I fear for Mr. Shatel.

they left the B12 because they felt like a second fiddle to Texas. now they're like the very last crappiest fiddle in the entire band because their new conference hates them.  :frown:

They actually were second fiddle to Texas

They were third fiddle to Texas and OU. That's what really drove em nuts. And they were in a conference that depended on Texas to stay together, so they jumped ship at the first opportunity. But their football program had problems long before leaving the Big 12. Whatever, it's been so long since they were even relevant that it's hard to really give a crap.

to put it into perspective- my cousin's son just graduated from highschool. they live in papillon (basically omaha). he said he's going to creighton because of how much he loves sports and how good of a basketball team they have. that's the kind of stuff they're dealing with up there. i mean i'm old enough (barely) to remember when nebraska football meant something but you might as well be talking about black and white tv's or phones with cords on them when you try to explain that to him.

Nebraska basketball at least appears to be turning things around. Maybe in a few years, they will finally win their first tournament game and kids will start seeing them as a basketball school. It doesn't take nearly as many resources to win at basketball as it does football. Maybe they can be good at sports after all.

Nebraska is a lot like Rutgers, really. Rutgers has had more recent success than Nebraska, but it was just a flash in the pan. The programs are basically in the same place now, and I think they will develop into pretty intense Big 10 rivals.
