i know beasley only played one year but i mean, that was one hell of a year for a player, i'd get beasley up there with the best of em.  also maybe think bout cartier even though he was on some shitty teams, and hell, maybe even denis for leading us to new heights in the modern era of emaw hoops.

Beasley.

Maybe Darren Kent.  I'm kind of torn on that one.

Agreed. Beasley should be up there, how long do you have to be off the team to get it retired?

Beasley, Clemente, Cartier

Darren Kent

No way on Denis and Bill.  They won't ever be up there nor should they.  Everyone is just high on Denis because we miss him so rough ridin' much and this year sucks so bad.

Bill disappeared for as many games as he was good in.

Beasley I'm ok with.  I would want to wait awhile unless they legitimately think it will help with recruiting (I'm not sure it would make a difference).

I knew I wouldnt make any friends with that one.

I love love love Denis and miss the crap out of him.  But being the main player (wouldve been very debatable if not for this year) behind one tourny appearance and elite 8 run is not enough to get in the rafters.  If we want to be a second tier school that makes the elite 8 once every 20 years, then eff it, raise it up.  I like to pretend we're better than that :dunno:

Not sure why all the Henson Hate going on.  Let's see now:

- The only player in school history to play in four NCAA Tournaments.
- Broke 21 school records.
- Among K-State's top ten players in 41 statistical categories.
- Still owns school records for career free throw percentage (90%), assists (582), and steals (190).
- Was record holder for career 3-pointers until this season when Jacob Pullen broke it.
- Scored 41 points in a game vs Iowa State.
- Hit 92.5% of this free throws in 1988 (111/120).
- Hit 48 free throws in a row at one point.
- Also spent three years on K-State's track & field team as a decathlete.
- Was a key player when I first started following the Cats.

OK, now you guys list reasons you hate him.  Here, let me help:

1.  He's white.
2.  Shirt-tucks love him.

I would refute those two arguments by pointing out that neither of those things are his fault.

This is true.  You can almost make an exception of him as well because of the short run of success he had here as a basketball coach.

Kind of an EMAW lifetime achievement award.

However, I maintain, and have always maintained, that you need to have a defined set of criteria for inclusion so it's objective and not subjective.

Kind of like North Carolina: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Carolina_Basketball#Honored_and_retired_jerseys (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Carolina_Basketball#Honored_and_retired_jerseys)

Based on their criteria, Kruger would warrant inclusion.  My list might be more inclusive than theirs, but I still think it needs to be defined.
