$30 is a good deal for it.
-
went to Capital last Friday for it, hope to go to Julian this weekend, they're doing a lobster shepard's pie (pot pie). I love restaurant week every year but also kinda sux0rs b/c places get so pax0red.
it's a good cause though- and who can ignore the "hey lets go to the nicest restaurants in town, in turn, the bum will get to eat a moldy can of peas!" factor of it all.
-
Went to Houstons not to long ago. Prime Rib :lick:
-
Clams, judges plate is on the menu at Q39.
What's the best seafood option this year?

their lunch selection is meh. Did Jax tonight, it was okay, I didn't order off their restaurant menu though. Bristol's "restaurant week" menu is the same it is for the past 5 years.
biggest portion of food I've seen served (if that's your thing) is Jack Stack lunch...it was obnoxious.
-
I'd do jax fish house or salmon at capital
-
I just really like the Mac and lobster. :lick:

Their restaurant week menu I thought sucked but my dining partners had the mussels and shrimp thing and liked it. I think shrimp is pretty boring.
-
Jax is probably the best seafood in KC but that's not saying much bc seafood in KC sucks crap
-
Well no crap kim clams
-
I'm eating salmon at the falloon. Plaza III tomorrow.

That looks extremely fatty. :Yuck:
-
dear clams, for only $50 you can eat as much of this crap as you want, do you like my ascot?
-
I go for the complementary handsomeness. Unlimited!
-
there's a fogo right near where i live and i see the gauchos wearing their gaucho outfits to and from work, inclusive of gaucho boots, walking around and it reminds me of the scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High when Brad is out delivering for captain hook fish and chips
and yes- all very handsome gauchos. why would they hire ugly ones?
-
its only $25 dollars on restaurant week though!
-
pictured is the picanha, the best meat choice. my green button is going 6 to 12 (midnight)

I might go somewhere tonight, but Ms. Wacky is in Florida right now. :frown: I might just see what's going on downtown. I bet Antons is doing it. :excited:

Time to fire up the new KC restaurant week suggestions! :lick: (ftp://:lick:)
I might try Aspens for lunch today even though the decor is god awful.
-
I've never heard of that
-
I always want to do this, but I can't eat 10 courses of meals.

I always want to do this, but I can't eat 10 courses of meals.
One diner get the 3 course, the other just order whatever entree and then split the restaurant week stuff, that's what I typically do.
I typically avoid the places anymore, it's usually not as good as what the kitchen usually can make and the prices are now all over the place. I am doing 801 as steak places still seem to be a pretty good deal relative to their normal prices
-
That's a good plan. I could smash a steak right now.

Mrs. Chicat and I invited a group of people over to our house for a Bang Bang (food not sex). Everyone brought food from a different restaurant and we all shared. We had Il Lazzarone, Chingu, Peanut (wings), Jerusalem Cafe, sushi from somewhere, and McClain's Bakery. McClains and Chingu were prob my favorites. Peanut wings were solid as always. Il Lazzarone was good but I think it prob needs to be eaten fresh at the restaurant for peak performance.
-
 that sounds fun!

I really like McClain's. The one on Gregory is within walking distance, so I'm there fairly often.

I am doing J Gilbert's, which is my usual restaurant week choice. Not exciting, but dependable.

They have very good croissants. Their breakfast sandwiches are good too. Not a huge fan of the breakfast breet, but it's OK.

Coffee cakes are very good. They are, however, not crumbly coffee cakes which is a bit disappointing. They're more pastry than cake if that makes sense.
