i'm a lot more understanding of missing a call. everyone misses stuff. to choose to make a non-obligatory call is more surprising to me.

The ref sure acted like he thought it was obligatory. It was the most casual T I've ever seen given. I wish he would have changed his mind, he looked like he wanted to, or one of the other refs talked him out of it.
