The talking point that "he might be hurt or could get hurt or previously got hurt, so its okay to go down short of the line to gain" is absurd. Every skill position player can say that, and you'd be irate if isiah harris, who is about 40 lbs lighter than Jerry, took a dive to avoid contact short of the first down. If he's going to carry the ball 20 times a game he needs to finish his runs. If he's that fragile he shouldn't be playing football.
