I was super pissed at first because I thought they recast Grey Worm and then killed him.

I don't understand how people thought last night was boring. Why do you think that? Were there not enough deaths for you animals? Sure it didn't match up to the season 4 finale in terms of pace, but if it did there would be no main characters left by the end of episode 3 this season.

For me, the only disappointment last night was no Arya.

Watching the next 4 episodes online and then waiting 5 weeks before you can watch a new episode would be horrible. Why would anyone want to do that?

So, the show cuts out a lot of content from the books and i'm OK with that. Between the sack of Astapor(Where the unsullied came from) and the capture of Meereen (where the show is now) the books had an entire third city Yunkai that gets sacked. Its got some important story elements in it (After its "liberation" Dany leaves to head to the next city, the power vacuum draws in a tyrant who re-enslaves the population, convincing Dany she must stay in Meereen until stability is restored) and just got cut out. On top of that, no Strong Belwas (seriously).

I'm OK with these cuts for the most part. You can't include everything. What I don't like is scenes being cut so they can add in new scenes that suck. There's been 2 scenes in the show, thus far, devoted to the complicated sex lives of the unsullied. That's like 20 minutes, almost half an episode, supplanting characters and storylines that will never see a wider berth beyond print. In the books they're like "Oh yeah, some of the guys likes laying around with the girls for companionship. No big deal" And that's the end of it. No inquisitive heart-to-hearts between Grey Worm and Missandei. I might be alone in this, but its just not that interesting of a story-line.

AND new Daario is a p word, yes.

the yunkai sack was shown in about 2 minutes. and the yunkai warlord drama keeps coming up in her ruling queen business. actually everything you said they are missing actually happened.

I thought the show did a decent job of setting up where things would go, but I agree about the unsullied story line being boring.

Obviously as a fan I would not want to hear spoilers from people who access the leaked videos. That is concern #1. I also feel like watching 4 new episodes and then waiting a month for the show to catch up is just torture.
