Spent the weekend in KC and had some great meals.Friday night: Extra Virgin - anchovies, deviled eggs, duck tongue tacos, spanish meatballs, grilled octopus, lamb skewers, churros & chocolate - 6/7 (highlights were anchovies, octopus and skewers)Friday night drinks: ITAP - beer selection (CBS on tap!) 6/7, vibe 5.5/7Saturday lunch: Blue Sushi Sake Grill - had waitress pick six rolls for us, told her we were celebrating the Biden victory, the plate came out with a spread designed to look like Ol' Glory. sushi was 5.5/7, presentation 7/7, atmosphere 4/7Saturday dinner: Plowboys (OP location) - Pork Nachos and Potato Casserole - nachos were 5/7, casserole 7/7, atmosphere would have been 3/7 but two of the employees got in an argument that involved one of them quitting so 6.5/7Sunday breakfast: Town Topic w/ mocat - sausage haystack w/ hasbrowns 6/7, company 7/7Sunday afternoon lunch: LC's - burnt ends 7/7 (maybe the best I've ever had), sausage 6.5/7, beans 6/7, coleslaw 5.5/7, atmosphere 7/7Disclaimer: all meals/drinks were enjoyed on patios or otherwise taken to-goKC: what a weekend. did not disappoint 7/7
i like plowboys. they have a very good sauce called en fuego that is the flavor i savor
I tried it a few months ago but dont remember what type I got. It was ok.
Picking up Westside Local tonight for the last time :(
I never enjoyed the place that much (small venue, overpriced average food, etc.) but I hate what covid has done to our locale spots.

Been there a few times since it cooled down. Hopefully they can come back.
