Excited to see who the 1st team guys are today, particularly at lb and s.

Woo hoo

Same here, I think some of the guys currently on first team at LB will be over taken early in the season by incoming guys.

Isn't half our team boogered up or in rehab?

A lot of the team is boogered up however I see the cats pulling away with a close victory. :ksu:

Skylar Thompson seems to be very good.

McCoy looks pretty good.

He's a specimen, but I can see why Snyder (or other coaches) said he needs to mature. There have been 2 or 3 plays where he kind of got lazy at the end of the play. But looks great otherwise.

Yep.  That fourth down run is a good example.  I thought he could have put his shoulder down and got it.

I've only seen the play by play, but I understand why Delton was not allowed to throw it last year.

He hasn't been bad, but thompson has clearly been better.

Deltons arm strength looks better, but he should also have 2 additional inteceptions... Not impressed. Skylar is head and shoulders better.

How did skylar compare to CCQ's 800 yard 10 TD spring game?

It was also interesting they never let Skylar play with the purple team, kid has a quick release and looks great throwing on the run. Zuber is going to be really good, Silmon+Barnes looked good, Carlos S has great hands will be good, our entire WR core is legit. McCoy could be special.  Justin Hughes had some nice speed at LB Surprise player for me was 83? Shone something? tight end I think made some great plays.

Can Thompson run at all? Legitimate question? Not sure if we're Jake Waters'ing this thing moving forward.

Dalton Gruntley.  He's a 6'2" wideout, he went to my hs and was really good.

I thought Zuber looked improved, a little bigger also. Skylar Thompson looks legit, it was nice to see two competent QB's out there that won't even be starting come fall.

He looks pretty mobile, maybe a bit above Jake waters. He isn't going to be a battering ram. I think his biggest weakness will be his decisions to keep the ball or let the backs take it. He made a poor choice one or twice this game.

[/quote/]he's quite a bit above jake waters.  Waters had pretty crap mobility for kstate standards.  He's also better in the pocket with his feet.

Two of the biggest questions after this game for me:

1) Can Ertz throw at all anymore? I'm being serious about this, he struggled with consistency last year and I could see some issues arise with this shoulder surgery/loss of arm strength.

2) Snyder wasn't on the sidelines the entire second half of the spring game.

83 is dalton Gruntley, brother of bruceketballer Gruntley. he had a drop late in the 4th, but yes, otherwise looked perfectly cromulent.

That's a wonderful name, was he majorly cool in HS?
