I am looking for a few three-day weekend short get-aways for the next few months. I am in northeast Kansas, and can travel either by car or by flight. Any suggestions?

Denver
OKC
STL
Chicago
Dallas/Austin
Omaha
I generally go to Chicago about twice a year or more. Love that city.  Haven't been to Dallas in a few years.  Thanks for the list. Hopefully I get off my butt and on the road some. I used to do that quite a bit. Getting too lazy and relaxed lately.

OKC is a fun town too, depending on what you are looking for, and also an easy drive.  Omaha is surprisingly good for kids.

This is a serious question as someone who has spent a lot of time in OKC.  What do you do in OKC you consider fun for a weekend?
Cowboy HOF for a couple of hours. Then your on your own from there.

The Wormy Dog.  That's what you do in OKC.

That place was dirty and gross when we took our nieces and nephews. But that was a few years ago.

I used to frequent OKC a lot my last year at K-State. My buddy and I met some girls that were dancers at Oklahoma City University and crushed on these girls hard, on one of our broadcasting trips to Oklahoma State. Anyways, we always had a blast going to bricktown. We'd go there a lot. Fun Fact: the chick I was dating was from Texas and her high school boyfriend was Matthew Stafford.  :runaway:

Today starts my 3 weeks off for our trip to Europe. We don't leave until Fri, so I'm taking these next few days to get incredibly pak'd every night. expect some great posting.

Yes. Also recently realized that you can order food from the bar...

yeah, that's the only way to do it. also if you order at the counter and a bar seat pops open you can jump on it and tell them to deliver your food to you at the bar.
