Mrs. WonderMeal is looking to go to Colorado (her first time!) for a quick trip w/out the Li'l Meals in late April. She'd like to do the following things:

-Stay in an elite hotel 1-2 nights
-Stay in an elite B&B/lodge thing for one night
-Hike

It's going to be a three day/2 night trip, so any tips (or pro-tips) on hotels, B&Bs/lodges, and hikes in or around Denver would be much appreciated.

Okay, change of plans. Now planning on flying into Denver and driving out to Beaver Creek to use two free nights at this Category 7 Hyatt in early May:

http://beavercreek.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html

Mrs. WM has never been to Colorado (other than Holly, LOL), so she's excited to drive around the state. Is this a can't-miss plan w/ lots of pretty scenery, or are we wasting some of our time stuck in the car? Please advise.

And HyattCats, any tips on getting upgraded to a suite in what will probably be a slow season for them, other than just giving the person at the front desk $50?

(Flying into Vail doesn't work with our time frame, I already looked.)

They need to rip these old things out and put in more charging stations.

True story: today I was at IAH and saw a whole row of those occupied by Mormon missionaries.

I was at EWR last night and they cancelled my flight after we sat on the plane for an hour. Couldn't change my flight online, couldn't reach the call center, customer service lines in the terminal were a mile long. Not an ideal experience.

A pro tip for this type of situation is to go straight to a self check in station if none of these easily work. The only downside is I couldn't tell how far down I would be on the standby lists.

Also a coworker just went to Bali and said there were lots of people begging for money but he's kind of an unhappy guy who would complain about Bali even if it was perfect.

Speaking of coffee, I brought a can of cafe du monde stuff from New Orleans today for my coworker to try. He has his own coffee pot at work and every once and awhile i'll give him a $1 for a cup. Anyways, he was very thankful and he sat it next to the coffee maker and made some for us this morning. Everything is cool, right? Well this afternoon, I made a small pot for myself because i'm going to workout after work. I go back for a second cup and guess what? HE DUMPED IT OUT! Reasoning? You never asked me if you could use my coffee maker. I mean, what in the world?!
Hmmm
