The check marks are so you know the person tweeting is who they say they are. So to me the first thing this does is lead to a lot more fake accounts and makes people question the reliability of what they see in Twitter

I'm saying that a lot of verified accounts won't pay, which leads to fewer verified accounts, which leads to an easier path for fake accounts to spread misinformation or just troll. I don't think that's what is best for business!

Twitter is going to be more of a cesspool than it already is. At least I could avoid the cesspool based on the algo of interests but I think that's changed because this morning I was bombarded with pelosis gay husband attacked by lover with hammer stuff

I have heard that Biden is looking into either banning tic tok or making them sell to an American company. Trump was looking at the same. They should def do it. If they do, they will wait until after midterms or even next pres election.
