Not sure about the full story on Stansbury, but he "retired" after a 21 win season. The program may have had some off the court problems but it was still winning. Ray lost 19+ games all three years.
Yeah, I don't know either. I'm sure MIR is correct that the program was a mess when he arrived, but I would think Ray could make more push than he did in 3 years. The guy lost 62% of his games (75% in conference) and beat 5 total Top 100 teams over his first 3 seasons.
Also, I'm sure Stansbury is the probably the ultimate Bruceketball nightmare.
