Don't talk about "handling" Jamar, Jamar would sulk and pout and it would wreck his game for huge periods of time, if "handling" Jamar was Jamar going out and sucking a$$ for multiple games at a time, than you need to reassess just what "handling" is.

This is my favorite dax device; using alternative history to strengthen a current point. Some of you people not liking his body language with referees has now become him sulking and it having a negative affect for multiple game stretches, that's just precious.

Yeah, it was just the refs.   :jerk:

And really, I'm about the only person that truly dislikes him.

Nope, I dislike him very much for the same reasons

Also, regarding Waters, I think the program would be in better shape today if he had never set foot on campus. but he got some records and stuff.

He potentially made a lot of $$ for Lockett. But yes KSU fball would be in better shape.

This should be a christmas movie, but ending with confirmation that yes the program would be in better shape if he'd never set foot on campus or been born.

I feel like oscar actually brought in decent/good players, but has ruined them with his coaching. They showed promise last year and then spent the summer with oscar and look like dogshit.  :th_twocents:

I'll wager you could find this exact comment on some Illinois message board from 3-5 years ago.

And I just read Kicthen's article. Or at least the start of it. My God, what an awful person.

He's really not.  We've had some lengthy conversations about oscar/Marcus.

We don't see eye to eye on either.

Well, he's either an awful person or a very poor writer, because the article he just wrote trying to shame a 19 year old kid makes him look pretty awful.

Writing something as if you are speaking directly to a person who doesn't know you exist and saying things you would never say to their face is the hallmark of a good man.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

Wow, I just read that article.  Kitchen is a complete and total hack.  I don't care if its a piece critical of a player, you can certainly write that piece, but this was just crap sports "journalism".  No sources, just complete supposition and whatever KC imagines is happening in his mind. This is the worst of this wave of phony sports hackery that persists out there now.

Honestly KC should just give up trying to get into sports journalism after that. But then again I suppose if you are writing articles for the garbage that is Bring on the Cats you have given up.

He's not trying to get into journalism any longer.

Appreciate your thoughts on the site, though.

This is mostly oscar's fault. Kitchen may be driving the bus, but oscar pushed Marcus in front of it.

Glad to see I was right.

I await his next piece on how he can tell LeBron just isn't trying as hard this year based on the TNT broadcasts he's watched this year.  Front page news!

I didn't agree with the piece, so I'm not going to defend it.  We'll discuss it the next time we talk.

However, I feel like the second comment was a direct shot at me, so I do somewhat take offense.  But you are entitled to your opinion.  I can't say much because I'm not very involved any longer.

100% honest it was not a direct shot at you personally, but at everyone associated with that site. Yes, I know you are associated, but I am not singling you out in particular.  I seriously doubt that makes you feel better though.

Well, I appreciate the honesty.

Those that run the site and provide direction can't please everyone, and I really have no say in anything any longer.  So, I can't take offense.  I apologize.

I'm not going to defend what Curtis wrote.  I don't agree with it, and we'll discuss that at a later time.  My main objection is the same objection that you alluded to, and that's that we don't know what Marcus said/did to earn the suspension.  From my perspective, on the court, he's been a very solid player and good teammate since the OSU game.  I can't be critical of someone if I don't know what's going on behind the scenes.  God knows that if I played for oscar I'd have visible attitude issues, personally.  Not saying Marcus does, but I most definitely would.

Could you imagine if somebody wrote a piece like this about one of Mike Gundy's football players?

curtis kitchen may be k-state's only t-shirt fan.  this fact alone should garner him some respect around here, damn it.  just damn it all.
