Where is Prince?  In his office?  In the film room?  Meeting with players?  No.  Well, how about pulling some shenanigans at the YOUVEEYEAH spring practice?  That's more like it.  That's our Prince.

good to see the facial hair is back in that photo.

Faces in the crowd
A familiar face took in the opening practice.
Former Virginia offensive coordinator Ron Prince, now the head coach at Kansas State, watched the session from the sidelines with one of his assistants and Hall of Famer Howie Long.
“Ron did a great job for us,” Groh said. “I spent a couple days with him in December and he is coming back to look at a couple of things from this standpoint.”
Danny Aiken, who is expected to become the Cavaliers’ long-snapper when he arrives in August as a true freshman, was also in attendance and dressed in his standard Fork union attire.

Is it me or is RP trying to hide his purple?  Joe Blow from Nowhere's, Virginia wouldn't even know where Prince is at now if it weren't for the caption.

:ksu:  WEAR IT WITH PRIDE RP!

We are, but our chances are small.

In order to jump start its Capital Fundraising Campaign, Dodge City Community College has enlisted the help of dozens of people, including Kansas State University head football coach Ron Prince.

A graduate of DCCC, Ron Prince will be speaking at the Kickoff Breakfast bright and early on March 27. The meal, aptly named considering its keynote speaker, is free to the public and will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will take place in the DCCC Student Union Ballroom.

"Coach Prince came to my office one day to introduce himself," said DCCC President Richard Burke at the last Board of Trustees meeting. "He credited the college with starting his successful career and wanted to help DCCC in any way he could show his appreciation."

    The very best.
lmao. great find.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Kansas State University head football coach Ron Prince is no stranger to wearing purple. He wore the color proudly not only as a student and football player at Dodge City Community College, but also as a volunteer coach.

Prince showed his DCCC purple pride once again Tuesday morning, when he spoke at the kickoff breakfast for the Visualize the Dream Capital Fund-raising Campaign in the DCCC Student Union Ballroom.

"I'm very proud to tell people that my second home is Dodge City," said Prince, who is originally from Junction City. "This is a very special place."

DCCC President Richard Burke said, "The campus, since it was built in the 1970s, is beginning to age. And it's in need of repair."

The purpose of the campaign, co-chaired by Burke and David Rebein, is to raise money to finish construction of the ground floor of the new science building, said Burke. The college also hopes to raise enough dollars to provide "seed money" for the construction of a gateway building to the campus and to update the Student Union to make room for more student recreation services.

"This is a very exciting time for Dodge City Community College and for our community," said Rebein.

Burke said, RHelp us help ourselves. Help us build a new state-of-the-art science building."

Prince emphasized the need for a new science building on campus, not only to make DCCC more academically competitive, but also to shape young minds in the constantly growing field of science.

"We need more scientists, we need more engineers. That's exactly the kind of talent that you can exploit on the global level," he said. "As soon as the president told me what the plan was, what the emphasis was in this fund-raising capacity, in this issue, I was completely behind it."

Citing the increasing number of foreign students attending Ivy League universities in the United States, Prince said the ever-increasing need for more math and science students is an issue of future "national security."

Prince also gave his support to Burke and the project he and Rebein have undertaken.

"I love what the president's doing,S he said. RI like what he's doing, I like who he is, but I love this whole mission and what he's trying to get behind. Get behind the president, get behind the trustees, get behind everybody who's here, and let's go ahead and get this thing completed so we can move on to other new projects."

College officials took guests on tours of the new science building at the conclusion of the breakfast.

This is a very Wabash-esque thread.

When does the "Shorty to Oklahoma" thread start?

Well, I have neither an emotional investment in nor thoughts about how he should choose to spend his time.  He's just an easy target for some entertaining ridicule, IMO.

Some of the things he says are just common sense, though.  Everyone knows that more DCCC students will help us win an international war against Ivy League educated adversaries.

I can see that.  I think its pretty likely he and an assistant are probably checking out UVA's 3-4 as another poster said.  Plus I'm sure most of our guys were out of town last week anyway on spring break, so it seems like a logical thing for a coach to go check out another practice, especially with a coach/staff he already knows well.

Agree that Prince is the cliche king, but that's just who he is.  If he wins 8 games this year no one cares how many cliches he uses.

Hell yeah, I think it's a good thing for him to make that visit and try to learn what he can.  It's just not any fun to talk about.

Agreed, but the motivation for the laughter could be different.

I laughed at butter pats as well, but in a "our great coach has funny quirks" sort of way, not a "our coach is an idot" sort of way.  Same thing applies here.

I enjoyed initiating weekly "which NFL player will Prince compare the opponent's best player to this week" threads last year.  The jury is still out for why we enjoy Prince, last season it seemed to change from week to week sometimes.  :)

The Wabash has certain posters (and quite a few) who like to complain about anything and everything, and that's how I interpreted this thread.  I by no means think chum is a Wabash-esque poster, but this seemed to have a Wabash-esque "whine about every little detail" feel when I first read it.  In fact, I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up on Wabash.

Speaking of which, Prince likened Carson Coffman to a redshirt freshman of Matt Schaub. I'm not making this up...

I thought it was a "this is the kind of thing that gets morons in a tizzy, but it's still kind of silly" post.  I don't think anyone is really concerned about Prince at another school's spring practice.

Are you sure you don't want to stick around until the Prince era ends?  Too much comedy gold....I have a feeling that the very end will be incredible....

Chum, why were you looking through the UVA photo gallery? Just curious.

I googled Prince because fatty was bitching that no one wanted to talk about our dying football program.

lmao. great find.

Mission accomplished.
