Let's get some good football discussion going, wildcats!

I know I know....its old school , and you have the best athletes to be successful blah blah.

There was nothing pertier than seeing El or Bishop get the edge with Sprolesy or Scobey on their hip. The excitement used to bring tingles...still does typing this.

Nebraska had pretty much perfected the option out of the I. It was brutal to watch some of the games when they had Frazier.

KSU  and Neb. as well as all other teams that did or want to run the option are screwed IMO. The best athletes want a pro style offense and nothing less.

Innovations are in the eye of the beholder. ....that Boise State Statue of Liberty against OU seemed "innovative" to some of the young crowd. That is odd, b/c that is the "oldest play in the book".

Things are circular....i think teams will get real fast and real small defensively and then somebody will load up on the power game and we will be right back where we started with that power "innovation".

I have to think Bishop and Frazier were two of the most feared option QBs of all time. Of course OU and CU had their share of great option QBs too, but size, speed, strength and arm strength considered those are two toughies.

I think NU had some innovation in the option out of the I.

I think Bill Snyder brought some of the other QB running plays to the forefront of alot of other teams.

Leach at Tech is definitely an innovator.

Stoops is king of stealing others innovations and applying it to high caliber talent.
