    The very best.
It's not because our NCAA drought will now be 12 years long.

It's not because it shows the lack of respect for Kansas State

It's not because Arkansas at 7-9 got in.

(actually it is all of those)

But I really thought we could have made the sweet 16. With the way this team played on neutral floors all season, I have no doubt we could have had a solid chance to beat a 6/3 or a 5/4.

Unreal. This is right up there with the 98 TAMU game.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

No doubt.  The teams slotted against us in the bracket would've been bitching non-stop about the unfair seeding.

Right, what pisses me off the most is that I think we could have done some damage in that thing.

Yeah, you weren't even good enough to be in. But had you been selected, there's no doubt you would have made the Sweet 16.

Priceless.

I'm ill because it seemed that the committee didn't hardly watch the games or evaluate how good teams were on the floor at the end of the season.  When they did watch, they felt sorry for the teams that were "tired" from their excruciating match-up with RPI #300 (or so) Colorado.

So you didn't get into the NCAA Tournament....so what?

There's a reason that you weren't mentioned until the Selection Show was almost over....and until Drexel and all of the real bubble teams had been discussed at length. It's because you weren't even that close to being in.

K-State fans deluded themselves into thinking their team was relevant....true in basketball, just like in football. But hey, maybe you can win the NIT, and then you'd have one trophy from a major sport in your trophy case.

Although, winning the NIT has to be a little bit like medaling in the Special Olympics.

If you want to get in, win enough games that the selection committee doesn't have a choice but to let you win...or win the conference...or schedule tougher opponents and beat them. But for God's sake, quit the whining!

Actually, that makes total sense.  A guy with the name "Husker fan" that's trying to talk trash because Creighton got in.

That doesn't scream bandwagon or anything.

I root for the Huskers in football because I'm from Nebraska. I root for Creighton in basketball because I've been a fan since I was like 5.

Not that hard to understand.

Nope, not at all.  You're a bandwagon fan.  Congrats on coming out of the closet about it.

That's sweet dude!  I root for ku in basketball and KSU in football and people give me trash, but its way cooler to follow teams that win all the time than wait for my own team to be worth a $h1t.

Most of us here are from and/or live in Kansas.  Should we root for KSU, ku, wsu, ft. hays, emporia, etc.?

Most of the people in Omaha are Creighton basketball fans, and Nebraska football fans, because Creighton is located in Omaha, but does not have a football team, and Nebraska has the only Div. I football team in the state.

If you have trouble figuring that out, it's no wonder you're still befuddled by a mediocre K-State team being left out of the tourney.

It's nothing close to the 98 TAMU loss.

As solid as this team could be on a neutral floor, they were just as capable of shooting 32% and losing by 12.  The funny thing about this tourney is that sometimes a team that gets in that nobody feels is worthy, (U.ARK) makes a 3 game run and makes the committee look good.  I hope Ark falls on their face, but sometimes a weird team catches fire.

I understand now.  He's a creighton basketball fan because they're good at basketball and he lives in Nebraska.

If that's the case, can I be a ku basketball fan since I'm from Kansas?  ku owns Creighton.

Oh wait.  Oops.

How does it feel to know that your coach is a guy that K-state fired?  Yeah.  Owned.

Most Americans (excluding Nebraska) root for the school they attended or have some affiliation with other than having the misfortune of being born within the state/city border of said school.

The explanation is basically "We're fans because we don't have anyone else to root for.  I'd be an NU basketball fan, but they suck, and I only stick with teams that do well in their sport.  So I can be an NU football fan, but not a basketball fan."

IE: Bandwagon fan.  This is also known as a T-shirt fan.  It's like being a USC fan during football season and Duke in basketball season.

Yes, you're in the same group as those people.
