As much as I would like to beat ku......

Today's results will work in our favor. We stayed with the
#2 team on a neutral court and lost by only 6 points.

We are gonna be a #12 or #11 seed, and that works
in our corner because it would put us against a 5 or 6
seed and then a #2 or #3 seed.

If we had beat ku today, we would have been a #9 or #8
seed and then been on the same side of the bracket
as the #1 seeds.

I go way back with K-State mens basketball before most of
you were born. I am just as excited about this team as you are!

yeah, beating the #2 team in the nation and solidifying our tourney spot (even if it was a #8 or 9 seed) would have been a terrible thing.

We didn't get blown out, that's about the only thing that was good.

We will be underseeded because of our early season record, would be nice to get an 11 or 12.  We are playing very close to top 25 ball right now

I dont think this team couldve done a better job today. Hell, if they just made a couple of layups and that they missed they couldve won. How can the committee actually expect us to beat probaly the best team in the country to get in.

good point.  a guy saying he thinks we´ll squeak in is way better than playing in the big 12 championship and knowing we have a guaranteed spot lined up.

Normally you're one of the most rational posters on this board, but this post just doesn't make any sense in the context of this thread.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
As much as I would like to beat ku......

Today's results will work in our favor. We stayed with the
#2 team on a neutral court and lost by only 6 points.

We are gonna be a #12 or #11 seed, and that works
in our corner because it would put us against a 5 or 6
seed and then a #2 or #3 seed.

If we had beat ku today, we would have been a #9 or #8
seed and then been on the same side of the bracket
as the #1 seeds.

Thats the dumbest logic I've ever heard.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Ok, setting aside that you're declaring Today (a day where we lost to ku when winning would've LOCKED UP a NCAA berth) as FINE and DANDY, you'd rather play a #5 or #6 seed in the 1st round than a #8 or #9 seed?

If it means having to play a #2 or #3 seed in the second round
instead of a #1 seed....then HELL YES.

The fact that you are worrying more about who we would face in the second round before locking up a for sure NCAA bid......well it just speaks volumes.

I don't understand how we'll probably be one of the last four in, and you guys say we are getting a 12 seed?
