The fan base for Kansas State basketball just grew substantially today with the hiring of Bob Huggins as head coach. Look for them to be contenders again in the next few years.

One of the big questions is now answered: Bob Huggins will coach at Kansas State next season. Huggs is trading Clifton for Manhattan. It's an interesting choice considering how many options he probably had. Sure, it's the Big 12, but I kinda feel like he could have done better. What do you think? Where should he have gone?

I would like to extend my heart-felt welcome to the new coach of the K-State Men’s Basketball team, Bob Huggins. I believe that he will make a huge difference in the quality of team that we can field. His up-tempo style and his amazing recruiting are going be fun to watch....

Apparently I have a new college basketball team to follow: the Kansas State Wildcats.

KState has hired Bob Huggins as head coach.

It's going to be sad to watch the best prep players this city has ever seen head of to Manhattan, Kansas to win a national championship.

Bob Huggins will reportedly become the new coach at Kansas St. Good for him and good for KSU. Even though his tenure will likely be disastorus, I was hoping Mizzou would hire him. As it is, with the Big 12 being down, huggins has the ability to turn ksu into a final 4 team in 2 years, assuming that he is able to land mayo and walker. I hope KSU understands the baggage they are getting however. I'm not talking about the DUI arrests. I hope they know that they are probably getting nick lachey as well. Ouch.

The most depressing news of the night was not Michigan’s victory over Miami, but the news that Kansas State – yes, Kansas f*cking State!!!! – hired Bob Huggins as its basketball coach and therefore made itself legitimate without even making an NCAA Tournament. Huggins will bring with him a few top recruits each season, and the Wildcats will start making runs to the Big Dance.

For those of you who have ever been to Manhattan, you understand why this is so disturbing. It’s a place that no young man would choose without a worthwhile coach in place, and the football program there is evidence enough. Bob Huggins – one man – can out-recruit the University of Michigan. You can watch it happen over the next few years.
