Cornhole State fans respond in their usual fashion.   Note the one response about how nobody ever finds out about off the field issues at KSU . . . heck Clayton's run in with the parking guy was only on ESPN afterall.   Plus KSU isn't any good at anything, just went to a bowl game this year and stand at the cusp of making the NCAA tourney for the 23rd time.

Cornhole State fans . . . always good for a laugh.

There is another "K-State" in Ohio.  I think that's who the responder meant, unless it was some completely delusional NU fan responding.

Actually it's now Kent, not Kent State.

More obsessing over Nebraska. Maybe if you guys had a decent program you'd have more to talk about. As it is you have to focus on the one relevant team in the division.

It's flattering that you are so fixated on us, but a little embarrassing. Isn't there something K-State related to talk about on the K-State chat board?

1. what would be the point of only talking about KSU?
2. Nubb boards talk about KSU.
3. you DREAM of KSU.
4. not fixated, just pointing out when other schools &@#% up.
5. youre a &@#%ing retard.

enjoy your day.

Nope, still Kent State:  http://www.kentstatesports.com.

I think you're thinking of Troy, which switched from Troy State a couple of years ago.

The funniest thing of all is Cornhole State fans responding to this thread.

Fatty, just what is there to talk about??

I guess we could all pretend to know everything about football and then post a bunch of meaningless stuff like Cornhole State fans do all the time.

Plus, you can pretty much tell the guy all upset who mentions K-State, then keeps mentioning Nebraska, and how it all happened in the 90's . . . that's typical Cornhole State denial there.

Mack is 60-12.
Snyder was 53-27
Prince is 4-4
Spike f-ing Dikes was 19-13.

Callahan was 13-12.....after inheriting a team that was 5-3. Christ.

Nebraska's been rebuilding, and completely overhauled their offensive system. It takes awhile to get recruits in place who can throw the ball, catch the ball, pass block, and any of the myriad of things that have to be done for a passing game to be effective. When Callahan took over, every single player in the program was ill-suited for the new offense. Now we have a few recruiting classes in place, and we're starting to roll.

We have talent everywhere, with several top recruiting classes since Callahan took over. Our domination of the Big 12 is just beginning.

Every coaching change is like that.

Fact stands, 13-12 is horrible.

That's just an asinine statement. I proves that you're either being dishonest or just have no idea what you're talking about.

Most transitions between coaching staffs involve tweaking the system. The transition from an option running game to a West Coast offense is about as big of a change as is imaginable. You come in and have no one who can pass block, no one who can throw the ball effectively, no RBs who can catch or pass block, and WRs who are used to primary duty as blockers in the running game.

So you have a system, but it takes a few recruiting classes to get the type of talent you need to run it effectively. This is especially true because the WCO is complicated, and takes awhile for college athetes to absorb. So success takes patience, but winning the Big 12 North and playing in a New Year's Day Bowl was a taste of what's in store. We'll be better next year.

It was the same for Prince. All coaching changes deal with that. Callahan was lucky to inherit a dominating defense.

Explain to me how the transition in offensive schemes between Snyder and Prince was as dramatic as the transition between Solich and Callahan.

13-12 in big 12 play. This is the reason we laugh at NU when you claim you are "back"

"Callahan was lucky to inherit a dominating defense."

not even close.  for one, that defense couldn't stop anyone that year that had the talent to score more than 30 points.  2nd, we lost a huge chucnk of that team to graduation.  lost 2 starting ends and then we lost 2 dt's out of the 4 man rotation and didn't have anyone to replace them with.  then we lost both starting olb's and didn't have anyone with playing experience to replace them, we had a walk on at one position and moved a 3rd string d end to the otehr lb position.

Nebraska

All-time Record 803-324-40 (.705)

Wire National Titles 5
Conference Titles 46
Heisman Winners 3
All-Americans 92

So we have five National Championships, you have zero.
We have forty-six conference championships, you have one.
We have three Heisman winners, you have zero.
Undoubtedly we have far more All-Americans as well, as I'm not sure there have even been enough from K-State to make keeping track worthwhile.

We have better history, talent, recruiting, coaching, and fans. We came down to Manhattan and slapped you around. We won the Division title and played on New Years Day. The fact is we're just better than you, and with your current state of recruiting, that's not going to change.

That's why you obsess on discussing us. You wish you were us. But there is only one Nebraska.

Regardless, he inherited a top 15 defense and turned them to one that a 4-7 KSU team put up 45 points on.

LOL, 13-12 in conference play. Holy crap.

Yet we still keep thrashing you.  What's your record in the last couple of years?

Just keep repeating yourself. In the meantime, if you'd like to see what a National Championship trophy looks like, feel free to take a look.

13-12 is horrible considering stoops went 8-0 his 2nd year.

no he didn't.  The team in 03 had a top 15 defense.  The team that Callahan inherited was missing atleast 5-6 of those players.  The only way you could say he inherited a top 15 defense is if he actually had all or a majority of that defense returning, but he didn't.  It was gutted.  When you only have 2 defensive tackles on your roster you don't have a defense.  period.

stoops also inherited a ton of talented players from John Blakes recruiting efforts.  At the time of Blake getting fired he had the #1 class in the nation.  Now, 2 years later, add in a couple top notch jucos and you got a solid team.  Night and day from the Frank to BC situation.
