LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Starting guard Russell Robinson will be out of the lineup for No. 6 Kansas at least one game and possibly two with an injured foot.

Coach Bill Self said the 6-foot-1 junior injured the foot in practice on Wednesday.

Self said that Robinson would miss Saturday's game against Iowa State and may not be ready on Monday night at Oklahoma.

Robinson, the Jayhawks' acknowledged team leader, leads Kansas with 131 assists, including 27 in his last five games. He has started 33 games in a row.

Freshman Sherron Collins, who had 20 points coming off the bench against Kansas State on Monday, will start for Robinson.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Surely he has some self healing appendages or advanced technology that can speed up the healing process?

If not, I fear for those who live in Lawrence.  If he's not playing basketball, there's only one logical thing left for an alien to do.

This press release has been amended to tell the truth:

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Starting guard Russell Robinson will be out of the lineup for No. 6 Kansas at least one game and possibly two with an injured foot.

Coach Bill Self said the 6-foot-1 junior injured the foot in practice on Wednesday when an assistant coach got down on all four behind Robinson, and Coach Self pushed him down a flight of stairs.  It is believed that Robinson hurt his foot during his tumble down the stairs.  A witness said he saw Coach Self and the assistant playing rock-paper-scissors to decide who would be the victim of this "prank", Robinson or Mario Chalmers.

Bob Davis, ku Basketball announcer and witness of the accident remarked "Sherron Collin's is so athletic, and so strong, he wouldn't have gotten hurt.  He's lost 100lbs. since the start of the season, ya know".

Self said that Robinson would miss Saturday's game against Iowa State and may not be ready on Monday night at Oklahoma, but would be ready to go if/when Freshman Sherron Collins starts sucking.

Robinson, the Jayhawks' acknowledged team leader, after Sherron Collins, Brandon Rush, Julian Wright, and Mario Chalmers, leads Kansas with 131 assists, including 27 in his last five games. He has started 33 games in a row, even though Sherron Collins, who has lost 200lbs. since I started writing this, should have started the last 24.

Much to the delight of anyone who gives a rat's arse about ku basketball, Freshman Sherron Collins, who had 20 points coming off the bench against Kansas State on Monday, will start for Robinson.

Danny stood around and did nothing??..   you must have not been around in "88" when he bitched slapped you on the way to the final 4 and the NC.  Which would you rather have  NIT bid and a game at home? :onthecan:( we all know how well that went)  or a 12 seed in the NCAA
