    It's time to hit it.
I'll bet a number of those people have never even seen a chicken outside of KFC or Popeyes.

Same.

How classless.  How dare we throw live foul into the air.  Especially live foul that could otherwise be used as a perfectly good McChicken.  What a waste.

Better than getting their heads sawed off while watching a short on green pastures and pretty pictures. (South Park 1)

K-State appears to be getting the hang of the "fan" thing. In all seriousness, I love the chicken-tossing idea, and the energy in the building that night, at least on TV, looked fantastic. Now, if they could just figure out the basketball part.

A couple of years ago, PETA bitched and moaned about The Green Bay Packers name.....

“That was unfortunate,” ku associate athletic director Jim Marchiony said of the ku fans having a sign ripped in half, “and we’re not crazy about having chickens thrown on the court, not just because it’s directed at us, but just from a humane standpoint.

    shame on you, non-believers
"Forget protecting the chicken. They're raised to be slaughtered for food. Getting tossed on a basketball court is a pretty sweet deal for them all things considered."

That's probably the highlight of the chicken's life.  And if the atmosphere is "damaging" to the chicken's mental health, then the same could be said about ralphie the buffalo and Bevo (or whatever his/her name is)

There's a new sheriff in town.
A chicken's claw could accidently catch someone in the eye if it hits someone when thrown and then what?

Ya know, it's all fun and games, till someone gets an eye put out!
I got to the game right before tip-off, so I missed the chickens, but I LOVE IT!
