It's looking more and more like a four bid conference with us hopefully being the fourth.  It would be nice to win all three however, and eliminate all doubts.

Nation, I agree.  I would think 2 wins most likely keeps us in fourth.  No way Big 12 4th, 21 win, 10 conference win, Bob fricken Huggins team doesn't get in.  But Hell lets win all three for the he11 of it.

Don't confuse conference standings with conference bids.
Tech @ 5th could easily get picked in front of KSU @ 4th.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

If Tech and Misery tie, Misery is the higher seed...

Should be fun to see what happens tonight.

KSU needs to win all 3 to leave no doubt...2 to feel comfy, etc..

Look at both team's remaining schedules-
Tech home vs. Ok St and Baylor, on the road at ISU
MU @ Nub, home vs CU, @ A&M

I don't see both teams being tied after the next three games

    It's time to hit it.
I'm calling Baylor on the upset of TT.  or ISU.  Tech will lose one of those.

Yeah, Tech really is the most likely to finish 9-7.  In fact, I'll be surprised if they don't, though they might lose that ISU game.

Honestly, the more I mess with the bracket generator, its not completely out of wack to think NU might not finish 5th.

Good point, Pomeroy is a complete idiot too.

OU "dropped" to number 26 in the Pomeroy ratings last night after losing to MU.

Lol. Not a chance losers. Jesus...it must really suck to play second fiddle to ku in EVERYTHING. Academics...owned. Endowment...owned. Athletics...owned. Why don't you all just kill yourselves? I'm truly curious. What's the point of going on?

With retards like you in this world, it's pretty easy to feel better about things.  No matter how bad we are in any sport, ku fans will always make me feel better because even in my dumbest moments, I won't be as stupid as they are.

Thank you for making me feel better about myself.

I'm trying to feel some comfort with finishing 2-2, but I can't.  I only have to look at this:

CU 04: 17-10, 10-6. RPI 57, SOS 64, Last 10 6-4, vs Top 50 2-7.
KSU 07: 21-11, 10-6. RPI upper 50s, SOS 70s. Last 10 5-5, vs Top 50 1-5.

Considering we played 5 more games (CU had a non-D1 game that didn't count) 4 more wins doesn't seem like as big of a deal looking at the rest of our resume.  Yeah, Huggins might help us here, but seriously without another decent win our resume really isn't any better than that CU 04 team*.

*The only other Big 12 #4 not to go dancing.

I do think we probably need to win the next three to feel good about a tourney spot.  But don't we compare more to A&M last year (assuming we get to 10 wins and 4th in the conference)?  The NU loss is just killing us right now.

Even though Tech has some nice wins, the Tech at home loss is just as bad as the @ NU loss.

As for aTm last year, they had an RPI of 44, SOS 67, Last 10; 8-2, and 1-5 vs the Top 50.  20-7, 10-6 and then 1-1 in the Big 12 Tournament to finish 21-8.  To me that refinforces the need to finish better than 2-2.

I think the NU loss is worse because of the emphasis that the committee puts on the last 10...we win that NU game and an 8-2 finish is more likely (similar to A&M) with our only two losses coming to a top 10 team in ku.  The more and more I think about it, it's 3-0 or bust.

3 total wins.  2-1 and 1-1 or 3-0 and 0-1 (or better) will get us in.  Finish 2-1 and 0-1 and selection sunday will be tense for Wildcat fans.

1.  mov is a known flaw in his ratings.  ou has pretty consistently won big over outmatched oppts.  so they are a bit overrated.

2.  ou isn´t a bad team.  and while ou is a bit overrated, pomeroy´s ratings predicted at the start of the big 12 that osu would do worse than the common consensus, while ou would do worse.  does this actually discredit his rating formula?

3.  the rank (26th) changes at a different rate than the rating (.9388).  26th is a lot closer to 51st (us) than they are to 2nd or 3rd (ku and a&m).
