There was this exchange between Huggins and Bill Walker, who shot around Monday night after the game with another signee, Chicago point guard Jacob Pullen:

Huggins: "You ready to suit up?"

Walker: "I'm not about to get caught up in a matrix like that next year."

Huggins: "Huh?"

Walker: "I'm not losing next year, dog."

Tuesday, Tyree Evans, who remains off the Butler Community College team, entered the fray, suddenly talking up the possibility of going to K-State. As for Monday -- a game he watched on television while lamenting the team's lack of scoring, which he felt he could help -- he felt the outcome should have been different.

"It would have been if I was playing," he said.
