It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Actually, I think it's improved quite a bit. Monday will bring this year's average up.

Did they use actual attendance or seats sold last year?

I'm pretty sure there was 13,340 for OSU.  It was packed to the brim.

They used sold attendance last year, not actual.  They didn't have the scanners last year.

I was at the OSU game last year, and it was definitely a sell out and looked to be at or near capacity in attendance.  It was another one of those game where we had a decent lead the majority of the game and then blew it in the last two minutes or so.  If there are games against particular teams that crystalize Wooly's tenure at K-State, it would have to be all the games vs. OSU and OU in the last three years or so.  Anyway, I had six tickets to that game because I had family coming up to go the game with me, and could only use five of the six tickets.  So I attempted to scalp my one extra ticket for nothing more than my cost in it ($15).  Well, the athletics department had a hit man out there to confront us about that as soon as I was selling the ticket to a guy that needed it.  And I remember thinking why in the world they would be so intent on preventing people from selling tickets to a sold out game of all things.  It's not like my selling that guy a ticket would have prevented the athletic department from selling an additional ticket because it was a SOLD OUT GAME.  All they were doing was depressing attendance for the game.  And what sense does that make?  To send an enforcer out there to prevent scalping at no benefit to the university, depress their own attendance numbers, and piss their own fans off in the process is so stupid.  I was stunned to say the least.  I think maybe that resulted in the bad karma that caused us to lose the game when it was all but in our hands.   :-[

What do you mean?  Attendance or team performance?

Attendance.

We averaged 12,194 on Saturday games last year....we're at 11,810 this year.  A sellout of 13,340 vs. OU would tie last year's Saturday attendance.

Odd.

The "walk up" crowd got locked out this year.

There is no way in hell the crowd for OSU was 100% filled. For example, I didn't go and didn't give my ticket to anyone.

Last years game totals must be paid and not actual.
