Rules: 1. You get fifteen tracks
         2. You can't use the same artist twice.

Here I go:

         1. The Beta Band- "Dry The Rain"
         2. The Velvet Underground-"Who Loves The Sun"
         3. Bob Dylan-"One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later)"
         4. A.C. Newman-"On the Table"
         5. Spoon-"Paper Tiger"
         6. Pascal-"Mud"
         7. The New Pornographers-"The Laws Have Changed"
         8. Arcade Fire-"Neighborhood #2 (Laika)"
         9. Elvis Costello & The Attractions-"Senior Service"
        10. Pixies-"Where is My Mind"
        11. Modest Mouse- "3rd Planet"
        12. Frank Zappa- "Joe's Garage"
        13. Yo La Tengo- "You Can Have It All"
        14. Van Morrison- "Sweet Thing"
        15. David Bowie-"Rock & Roll Suicide"

*Note-if I had to choose one album by one artist it would be Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars

You can't be racist and like basketball.
You guys have no variety:

1.  Otis Redding - "Dock of the Bay"
2.  Gladys Knight and the Pips - "Heard it through the grapevine"
3.  Waylon Jennings - "Old Friend"
4.  Flaming Lips - "Do You Realize?"
5.  Wu Tang - "Method Man"
6.  Notorious BIG - "Hypnotize"
7.  Hank Williams - "So Lonesome I Could Cry"
8.  Weezer - "Buddy Holly"
9.  James Brown - "Funky Good Time" (I would probably pick 7 or 8 of James Brown if I could)
10. Beatles - "In My Life" (see above)
11. Flatlanders - "Dallas"
12. Wilco - "Jesus, Etc."
13. Sigur Ros - "Starálfur"
14. Aretha Franklin - "House that Jack Built"
15. Jason Aldean - "Amarillo Sky" (horrible, yet wonderful country that reminds me of growing up)

That's how it stands today.

I will continually update.

Cire, you didn't adhere to the rules;)

Rusty, love the inclusion of the redding. Regarding my lack of variety, I could go the rest of my life without hearing hip-hop again save maybe outkast or the beastie boys. Particularly notorious big.

Here's a list of songs that sample James Brown:

(I tried to copy and paste the full list, but it exceeded the maximum characters.  (It's 31 pages in Microsoft Word!)

No.  I never saw Garth live, which is one of my biggest regrets (and also means I've had a pretty darn fulfilling life thus far).

Yes.  One of my neerdowell friends and I were cruising by the B on the night of the concert.  We decided to park on that one street (Hobbs?) off of that other street (Dickens? College? Hell, I don't know.  It's been ten years.) that goes by the football and basketball places and wander around a bit.  We were up by some of the doors when a campus cop eating a hot dog came outside.  We started chatting with him.  It turned out that he knew my dad.  He asked us if we wanted to go inside, so we followed him in, parted ways, and found a place where we could stand to watch the show.  I didn't really know any songs, but enjoyed the lights and the cowboy hats.

Growing up in NY I didn't know much (nothing) about country music but my friends were all going to the concert.  I went too.  Great time.

Garth will not make my compilation album.  And without the lights and thousands of cowboy hats, he has no chance.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
