No other fan base would get in such a huge menstrual cramp over the dismissal of a &@#%in equipment manager. Right, Shorty was around for 28 years. BFD. That doesn't make him untouchable or above reproach. Change happens. Get used to it.

Hey, maybe he's the one that forget to bring the long cleats to the bowl game! Maybe he was dealing steroids on the side! Maybe he made a pass at Franklin. Who cares! He's gone. Get over it. Deal with it. Shut it.

Gopowercat.com has basically canonized Shorty a saint.  :jerkoff:

I hate our fan base sometimes.  :onthecan:

Considering how the team has been getting their asses kicked the past few years this was probably overdue.

He was supposed to be one of the best in the country. McGriff, Shorty, and him were the only ones that bothered me a little. All in all though, I don't care. As long as we win games.

after a couple seasons in the crapper some fans decided that success hinges upon the s/c coach, equipment manager and third string qb.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I kind of see both sides of this...

Prince sounds like a real douche to work for and with, but this doesn't mean the sky is definitely falling.

We went 7-6 with a rag-tag group of young, underqualified assistants...something went right...maybe Raheem Morris and Pat Washington were Boy-Geniuses?

Hey super , are you Ron Prince?

Look, you really think KSU makes these decisions lightly? Heck no! KSU is a family and decisions are made with all parties involved... Wefald, Weiser, myself Prince.

We're not whining, just a little tired of seeing this program get shat on and fall apart.

I'm surprised the water boy hasn't gotten fired yet.

I'm glad short's gone.... Feel bad, I'm sure he was a loyal employee, but I've heard more players complain about their helmets and pads falling apart.

Look, I'm a loyal employee to my company.  Everyone thinks I'm great because I'm willing to help out anyone anytime. I've gotten Employee of the month more than anyone here.  But you know what?  I'm on the &@#%ing internet right now talking on football forums.

I'm sure shorty was a great guy that everyone loved.  But he was probably a crapty employee.

c'mon now.  28 years on the job?  he must have done something right.  Snyder kept him around all those years and he was no prince, no pun intended to guys that didn't pull their weight.

name one person snyder ever fired.

the fact that snyder kept him around doesn't really indicate much to me.

yes he did do some things.  He was also responsible for giving out the players medication and knowing what works with what and such things to that effect.  I wonder if the guy who hands out meds and who just got fired had anything to do with one player almost dying because of an adverse reaction to meds?

hard to say.  the incidants are so close together it's hard to imagine it's coincidance.

I was wondering too. Seems like the Lucky family and Husker program are being REALLY quiet on this matter.

actually I just found out the truth, or most of it.  Anyway.  His being asked to leave is something that has been in the works for 2 years, since dave kennedy was hired to run the strength program.  Anyway, he was allowed to stay on by Callahan and pederson because he was 2 years away from having all of his retirement benefits kick in.  his last benny, he became elgible for occured last week.  Unfortunately this announcement was released so close to the lucky thing making things look fishy.

why was he let go?  not sure, maybe something to do with our players taking forever to recover from injuries

so what you're saying is that the nu coach and administration let the players stay hurt in order to line the pockets of an incompetent?

nice.

some yell at stoops for sacrificing players to win games.  at nu, they sacrifice players to pay off a staffer.

    IT'S DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL!!!
Janssen gives his take...

Quote
In a teleconference after the first set of leavings and hirings, Prince said he was excited to bring "... star power to our roster of coaches."

This is nothing against the latest cast of replacements, but the second try of "star power" coaches has backgrounds from such locales as Richmond, Connecticut, Western Connecticut, Cornell, Central Connecticut State, Holy Cross, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Temple, Salisbury State, Kentucky State, Eastern Kentucky, Appalachian State, and Maynard Evans High School (Orlando, Fla.).

Seeing them listed all together like that scares the $hit out of me.

Prince was like "Shorty wtf, a d in a b for me?"
Shorty was like "U betcha, GRRRROWWL"
Prince said "Shorty you aren't even a recruit.  Growl again tho."
