"For years they haven't had fans in here, so I don't know why one
coach would make a difference," senior guard Dominique Coleman said
before Wednesday's practice. "At least at K-State and all those
other schools, they've had the fans. Here it's just different, it's
just a different city, it's not really a basketball town.
"Unless they get Bobby Knight's son in here, I don't think too many
people are going to be here next year either."
CU lost 72-60 in Manhattan on Feb. 18, 2006, in front of an
announced crowd of 9,768. A capacity crowd of 13,266 is expected to
be awaiting the Buffs on Saturday.
"That's what I've heard that every game is sold out," Patton
said. "They've always had good crowds, but now I guess it's even
better. And they're playing extremely well."
