Here's the story of Adonis Thomas.

Adonis is a RB prospect out of New Jersey who was given a scholarship back in the summer.  Adonis committed in June to the proud university that is Kansas State Universtiy.  Adonis is not the best prospect in the country and as KSU is one of the crappiest football schools in the country, naturally offering Adonis was a fitting move.

Adonis stayed committed for the entire recruiting process and never wavered.

One week before National Signing Day Ron Prince notifies Adonis that he no longer has a scholarship for him at KSU.  It sounds like Adonis has more character than Head Coach Ron Prince.  I have heard of a player decommitting from a school, but I have never heard of a school decommitting from a player!  Only at Kansas State.

Adonis would be force to scramble at the last minute to try to find another University for his services.  The University of Toledo was his destination.

This is the kind of story that comes out of Manhattan all the time.  I've heard stories about players with broken wings being told they are pussies, I've heard stories about returning starting QBs coming to practice with their lockers cleaned out and their gear in a box outside the lockerroom and I've heard people who've left the program say, "I don't even want to comment about what's going on there.  People will find out eventually."

And it never fails that you Powercats will come back and defend him saying it's only mere speculation.  It's not true.  You can't prove it.  In this case you will probably all go with the Academics card.  Mmm-hmm.  I'm sure that's the reason.  That may all be true, but there are just too many of these types of stories coming out of Manhattan to not think there is some kind of truth to them.  So let me hear your best wildcat growl Manhattan and add another one of these stories to the Ron Prince capades.

Go Kansas State!

God Prince is such a badass.  Why should he let his players talk back when he's the boss?

He didn't even call Adonis to yank the 'ship. He just texted him with a all-caps "&@#% YOU"

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

He also has pretty much the same conference winning % as Callahan.

I know one person I'm not scared of.  Chase Coffman's little brother.  Your 2nd string QB.

Likewise, we aren't scared of a coach that can't separate himself from a .500 record 3 years into his new job.

Ron Prince pretty much rules.

"But coach, I'm dying of cancer!"
"&@#% YOU!  GET ON THE FIELD AND PRACTICE, MOTHER &@#%ER!"

"Yeah coach, I'm excited to send in my LOI in a week!"
"&@#% YOU!  WE GOT SOME BETTER KIDS!  Walkon or be gone!"

Nebraska fans wish Callahan had the nutsack to do that.

lets face it, there were a ton of bad attitude guys that prince inherited and a house cleaning was in order.  i'd have to say last year it worked IMPROVING to 7-5 and a bowl (NOT falling back and missing a bowl).

you know what though?  kids have been switching their commits for years...it was only a matter of time before schools started doing the same things.  recruiting has become hideous bitch-goddess.  either you got the stomach for it or you get left behind.

Lets see:  Players leaving the program with not such good things to say about Slashahan.   Slashahan calling another fanbase Hillbillies . . . Slashahan giving the throat slash gesture to a referee.  Slashahan with the worst 3 year run at NU since the late 50's.

Cornhole State fans are a joke.

get over yourselfs NU fans.  I know you had a bunch of commits in your class that didn't end up signing.  Some decommitted by choice but some where told to look elsewhere Wallace Franklin for instance is one of those.  NU said it was grades but he ended up signing with Iowa State and they think he's going to qualify for them.  At the end of the day I think NU  had some kids they wanted more and used his grades as an excuse to drop him.  I think there were some others like that in your class as well.   All those kids that decommitted from NU I'm pretty sure it wasn't all because the players chose to go elsewhere some were told to look elsewhere.

Adonis Thomas'  coach said KSU had a reason for dropping him but he wasn't going to talk about it.  Could have been grades could have been something else who really knows.   Last year Oklahoma State actually signed a kid and then at the last minute told him to go somewhere else because they didn't  have room.  This kind of stuff happens all the time for various different reasons so don't bring that I"ve never heard of that happeing before.  The two kids you're talking about from last year one had grade problems and couldn't get in the other had a grey shirt offer and chose not to accept it.  But you don't really care about stuff like facts when you start spewing your propaganda BS around.

Well, sometimes, you have to weed out people who don't have the desire and drive to make it.

It's not like Callahan has never done that.

if you make a commitment to nebraska the school makes one right back to you.  We don't pull schol offers just because another kid better commits at your position.  If you commit and then start taking visits, yeah, you could lose your spot.  if you get a 8 on your act, yeah, we might move on.  But we wouldn't pull what Prince pulls, that is unethical.

Call Wallace Frankin and ask him what he thinks about that?  Get off your high horse it happens at all schools.  There was an article about Adonis Thomas in the star today said KSU didn't think he'd qualify.  Same reason NU used for dropping Frankin and a couple of other kids.

So you are telling me that NU never offers more scholarships than it has to give?  :bs: and if so, then you have a pretty crapty coach on your hands.

We have yet another top 15 recruiting class. You have a class ranked 9th in a 12 team conference....and that's with a coach you hired for his supposed recruiting prowess.

Cornhole logic . . . over 3 years our program that used to win National Titles is just 2 games above .500 in conference under Bill Slashahan

We've had good recruiting classes since Slashahan arrived in Burning Manure City, and the best we can do is brag about beating KSU who had a 1st year head coach and started a true freshman at QB.   Everytime we go up against a ranked team we pretty much get worked like a bunch of little bitches . . . but hey "We're back".

He's a pioneer in recruiting. Soon everyone will be doing it.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Kind of like the pioneering efforts of bringing in non-qualified JC recruits and then committing academic fraud to try and get them into school . . . then not even abiding by your own self imposed sanctions.
