Does anyone just cringe at the thought of him?

Anyone know where he hangs out in KC?, I'd like to meet him at a bar and pick a fight with him.

He won't be doing ku much longer. He's being moved to the Chiefs beat.

Would you agree that article was pretty bad?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

"So much for all the talk about how the gap between Kansas and Kansas State is closing.

Heck, if anything, it’s getting bigger."

One effing game!!!  One Efffing game.

Jmart, is he as big of an arrogant douchebag as he is in his columns and radio?

Seriously, anyone know where he hangs out?  Seems like a Grand Falloon type of guy.

For real - Jason is a good dude.

But c'mon, guys. If the scores had been reversed last night, wouldn't you assume you'd surpassed ku as the dominant team in the state? That was pretty conclusive last night, and Huggins was dead-on afterwards - K-State isn't there.

Yet.

The wild thing is we can still be the 3rd or 4th team in this league, which would be a crazy coaching job by Huggins.

Exactly Jmart.

They destroyed KSU last night.  Hell I hope they didn't damage this team's fragile psyche.  Huggs needs to really push these guys going in to Saturday.  Get this loss behind them and start another streak.

No, actually we wouldn't.  We didn't last year.  This isn't the first time he's written this type of cheerleading article.  Two years ago when ku lost @ TT (again) he gave a similar type effort only this time he was whining throughout the entire article about officiating (typical ku fan).  Seriously, let me ask you this, if the scores had been reversed would YOU have written that the gap was closing?  He's a joke for a beat writer, he gives writers like you and the work you do a bad name.  You should be ashamed to call him a peer.

I miss Dutton.   You could call Dutton with a question about KSU, and he'd call you back and then want to chat for 20 minutes.  He was a really nice guy.

I'll admit, there's a fine line. Sure, that article may have crossed it. But I also fault his editors for letting something like that run in the paper. Better judgment on that end, too.

What are his editors going to say at 11:00 the night after ku's final 4 win against KSU?  Uh Jason, that's letting your colors come through too much try again.

We're cool. He's the competition, and I didn't warm to him my first year on the beat for various reasons. But we're fine. He's trying to do his job, and I'm trying to do mine.

Actually I don't think it's his fault, I just don't think he knows anyone that actually works for the university.  I think he writes what GPC tells him to write.

There's nothing worse than the dreaded "homer" label for a sportswriter. In fairness, Howard isn't one, which isn't to say it doesn't happen at the Star.  :)
