Yeah, it was a bad, bad demoralizing loss.

And yet the team is still in 3rd place in the Big XII -- ahead of where almost everyone thought they'd be at this point in the season.  All they have to do is continue to win the games against the Nortards and the NCAA tourney will become a reality for the first time in a long, long time.

I'm inclined to believe this is one of those games KSU comes back from and finishes strong.  This was one of those if we can keep it close, we'd win, but we let it get away.

Can't wait until the squawks come to Manhattan.  There will be a different team there.

Never is a long time.  I'm sure the dinosaurs thought they would never die out.

This game was a reality check. Our margin for error with this group of guys is very slim. We didnt "guard" well tonight, didnt hit timely shots, if any, and ku is too talented and played up to their full potential tonight. Very few teams could have hung with them tonight when they shoot 65%.
We are desperately in need of some talent...and Dave and Cartier to show up for the rest of the yr.

In all honesty i don't see how we can't have perspective. For some reason a whole lot of us thought it was all going to happen this year. We were on a 7 game win streak and it was amazing. We got an incredible road win against a ranked team who had a 22 home game winning streak. Then we go to a ku who is a top 10 school, mind you, and for some reason we get down on ourselves. We are a great team, a new team underneath a great coach. There is only so much we can do in one year, and beating ku twice was a little out of reach. The fact that there are multiple articles that say we are "rivals" with ku is amazing. This thing will be incredible, it just needs a year or two to get the wheels turning. We will round out the year with the wins we should have, maybe lose one we shouldn't, and maybe win one we shouldn't, but when it all comes down to it we are leaps and bounds beyond what we were last year. Don't get me wrong, i hate the &@#%squawks as  much as anybody, but a road loss to kansas is not something to be devastated about. i think it is amazing that they (kansas) came out and played as well as they did. its not often kansas comes out to play against ksu and that just shows that they are ready for this to be the biggest game of the season every season. the phog was crazy last night, the DUI chants, the huggins newspapers, that only shows that they are starting to notice a lot more than last year. think about it, what did they ever do in wooly's career that was worth talking about. this is a start and i'm excited to see what it turns into. of course, we probably won't loose any more games to them in the next 10 years but they don't know that. this game is going to be epic every year, and every year someone, in some other part of the country is going to crap themselves watching our game.
