im on a mac...so many steps were involved.

1. downloaded iSquint, converts all files into an mp4's.
2. opened iMovie, dropped it in and compressed it as a quicktime .mov file.
3. dropped that .mov file into imageready.
4. fin

I can open a basic MPEG in ImageReady.

Check that.  To make a video that you can work with in ImageReady, import it into moviemaker and save it as a DV-AVI.

I am not a fan of converting it, especially in movie maker. Cause the quality goes way down.
