    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    I survived the Dickey/Parrish era.
Threads like that may be a recurring theme on the NU board?

I guess it's probably a symptom of your massive inferiority complex that you take delight in our setbacks. Kind of sad really.

The crazy thing is that we could probably lose our Top Five or more commits and still have a better recruiting class than you do. As of this afternoon, and with this loss, Lemming still has us as #8 in his rankings.

I don't mean to trash you guys, just to give you some perspective. Maybe you should focus on KSU's successes rather than rooting for everyone else to fail.

The rankings of a team matter little, imo, because there is nothing to suggest that this recruiting class will have an immediate impact.

You're in year four of your Callahan experiment, and all his players are now here.  If you do not win 10 games this year, your recruiting class ranking is all you'll have to hang on.

I predict we'll win the Big 12 Championship and play in a BCS Bowl. In any event, that guaranteed win over Kansas State will be something to hang on.  ;)

You forgot to add "IMO" so that we know you're not really trying to convey that as fact.

It will be funny when someone hits him the first time and he hurts himself again.   has he played a complete season of football yet?

It almost sounds like you're hoping he gets injured. Classy move that, hoping for the other team's guys to get hurt.

Obviously you are forgetting he plays well in practice with the green "don't touch me I'm fragile" jersey on against #79 ranked Pass Defense in the WHOLE USA. I'm not talking just in the Big 12. No, no, no. Nebraska is ranked #79 for all of college football! Amazing that Keller can look "stellar" against the vaunted Bears 46 Blackshirts! WOOOO!!!

Of course, he will be well rested. So he has that going for him.  :beerchug:

You can't.  You haven't a fact to back up anything that will support your contentions.  I can post several facts that will dispute that.   The kid hasn't played a full season of football since he's been in college.  He's been out an entire year.  Has any kid you've known ever been out a half a season or more and been as good as he was before the injury?  can you name one?  I can't but I can give you a name.  Matt Herrian.  Now, can you say that Keller will obviously be game ready and be a "big part" of the improving NU football team?

Is this the same NU football team that won 67% of it's games in 2005 but only 63% of it's games in 2006?  Is this the same Nebraska team that not lost less than four games a year under Callahan?  Is this the same Callahan team that couldn't beat a Top 25 team?  Is this the same Callahan team that fell out of the Top 25 at the end of the year?

No offense there bud, but I'm not the one wearing the rose colored glasses. My team won the Big 12 North, and played in the Cotton Bowl. They have a Top Ten recruiting class coming in, with at least 11 four star players. We have a top pro prospect taking over the offense, and things are looking good in Huskerland.  :D

Your team was barely over .500, lost to Baylor, got rolled by Nebraska at home, and was a Big 12 North also-ran. They snuck into a made up bowl that was barely televised. Then they got rolled by Rutgers...Rutgers....LOL. You guys have 2 or 3 four stars, and a bunch of guys that no one else was even after coming to campus.

The only thing that was even related to Keller in your response was that you made up something about him being a TOP PRO prospect.  Why does every fan think Keller is going to be a TOP PRO prospect when he can't even finish a season?

The other mumbo jumbo about recruiting and such is pointless drivel as well as what happened last season, where you lost two games in a row and didn't have a winning record against the south.

See, this is why no one can take NU fans seriously.  This has nothing to do with how KSU is playing.. this has to do with NU fans and their belief in a player who has proven very little.  He hasn't played on a championship team.  He hasn't directed a team to a winning record, hell, he hasn't even completed a season yet.  His first game was in a bowl game because the starting QB got injured, then he played in six games after that against bad teams, and the only two teams he played that were any good were USC and LSU (both losses).  He isn't so great that the scouts want him to leave early.  The only reason they are interested in him is because of what he did in high school.  Sadly, his college record leaves the impression he might not be able to play a few games during the season.

I do find it amusing that you are very concerned about KSU's record and their team.. as if it should really matter to a bunch of fans who are depending on an unproven college player to lead them to some kind of .. trophy.

Because several pro scouts named him as one of the top prospects from his class prior to this past season. Now he's in an even better offense, with a chance to prove what he can do.

We beat you head to head in your stadium. That game wasn't even close. We won the division over you. We went to a better bowl than you. We have a better recruiting class than you. Want me to continue?

There are actually two arguments here...one, that Nebraska will be improved next year over this year, and two, that Keller will play a big part in that.

ASU was terribly overmatched against USC and LSU...if you expect ASU to be competitive in games like that, you need to watch some more college football. One of the bright spots was Keller's performance though. He held up well under the pressure, and put up good numbers. He's a big-time QB, and he's going to have a plethora of weapons to work with this season.

Undoubtedly you're familiar with "trophies" from viewing them on other teams' websites. Nebraska's athletic department website is a good one to go to if you'd like to see what a National Championship trophy looks like. Since you've never won anything in Manhattan, you could at least get an idea. Of course with a few more classes filled with two star prospects, you're well on your way to winning something.

ASU lost on a last minute drive by LSU.  He's not a big time QB if he can't win against superior competition.   :banghead:

Sad.  The deflections from the point that Keller hasn't won anything either, but to NU fans, he's a big time Top Pro Prospect* that is just going to lead a much improved NU team.   And all you can manage is point back to a trophy case you haven't put anything into for a decade.   How does that help Sam Keller?

Rationalize however you want, but that wasn't even a competitive game. We owned you in your own stadium. You were a bug on your windshield. I wouldn't even bring it up except that K-Staters keep dogging on Nebraska, and need to be reminded to know their roles....jabronies.

The fact that Arizona State is even keeping it close against a team like LSU is a testament to Keller's abilities. Keep on spinning.

Taylor was good. Keller is better. Pro scouts rate him as one of the top QBs from his class. They know more than you do. Nebraska's players and coaches think the guy's going to have a great year. They know more than you do. You can watch the tapes and see his ability. He'll be a far better QB than Josh Freeman.

No offense there bud, but at least we have a reason to own a trophy case in the first place. When's the last time K-State won a National Championship in anything, much less a major sport....?

In practice, if you're a decent QB, how could you not torch NU's pass defense last year??

I just want to know, how can Cornhole State fans with a straight face tell us how Keller "torched" a suck ass pass defense??

Our pass defense was clearly the weak link last year. Yet even those players said that Keller was better than Taylor.

In addition, if our pass defense was so terrible, how come Freeman couldn't get anything done against us?
