Mr. Pimp,

While I love your enthusiasm...I have to question your confidence in the pair that promised us Tim Floyd the last time we did this crap.

You couldn't even get McDermott.

And even if you got Huggins, you'd have to win the big 12 more than half the time and go to the ncaa tournament for 17 years straight to be even comparable to ku. So... I don't think ku basketball has much to worry about.

if huggins stayed long enough he'd accomplish those things.  the guy has a much better record of accomplishments than self and frankly is a better coach.  self gets outcoached way more often than than he outcoaches anyone.  ku will never sniff a final 4 under self.

most of that is roy williams accomplishments...dont forget that.  self=zero final 4s in his career.  self=first ku coach to lose 2 straight first rounders.

Bill Self is the Big 12 coach of the year. I'm sure he got that from being a bad coach. Self went to the elite eight his first year here. One game away from a final four. I'm sure you'll be seeing ku in the final four in the next few years.

And Huggins won't accomplish what ku has done. There is no reason to believe he can do that at Kansas State except your own blind belief.

You've got a ways to go.

He went to the elite 8 then went two straight years without a victory in the NCAA Tourney.   The NCAA Tourney, you'll remember, is meaningless.  And you were second in the Big 12 regular season, since the tie breaker went to Texas, although in this case, tie-breakers work against your previous arguments about tie-breakers.

In essence, the trend is simple.  Self is going down.  Huggins will reign supreme at KSU.

Continue denial, flailing, and up in arms, nervous posting.

The NCAA Tourney is not meaningless. The Big 12 Tourney is meaningless. Get it right.

We were tied for first in the Big 12 regular season. The tie-breaker does not make a difference in determining the winner as the two teams aren't in the same division. They only get to play once. ku played at Texas and got smashed. A south team hasnt beaten ku in Allen since god knows when. ku shared the championship just like they did last year with Oklahoma. ku then went on to win the Big 12 Tournament beating Texas on a neutral court. ku > Texas.

Huggins won't live up to expectations.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

That is an unknown.

An example of a factual statement would be "Bill Self hasn't lived up to expectations."

or

"Roy Williams has exceeded expectations at North Carolina."

That's &@#%ing rediculous.

You do realize that you are talking about a coach that has a NINETEEN STRAIGHT 20-win seasons and a career winning percentage of 75%, don't you?

We are all ku fans. For life.

Theres tons of ku fans all over Manhattan and on campus. Talked with the Pita Pit delivery guy for about 10 minutes cuz he was a ku fan.

Huggins isn't guaranteed to win.

Wow, that's stupid.  Knight took over a team coming off 4 straight losing seasons and proceeded to win 22 games 4 years straight.  He won 73% of his games at IU, and 67% of his games at Tech.  Knight + Tech = smashing success.

There might be 1/2% to 1% of the total population that supports faggot tech sports in Manhattan, but no way is it any higher than that.

Assuming a total population of roughly 50,000.... 1% would be 500 folks.  I guess by "weight", that would be "tons".  However, we all know that's not what you meant...

Knight gave them their best four year run in history...and it isn't even close.

In the 50 years before Knight arrived, Tech had five 20-win seasons.  In the five that he's been there, they've had 4.  That=incredible success.

So thats what you want Kstate to have? A few 20 win seasons without winning the Big 12 and not coming near a national title?

I was assured to Huggins would come in and eclipse ku earlier.

You've got a ways to go.

elite 8 run included such great wins over illinois-chicago, pacific, and uab.  but i guess those teams might be only slightly worse than bucknell and bradley.

big 12 coy in a really bad conference.  dude managed to lose to the two worst teams in the big 12, one on his home floor.  the baylor coach should have won it for actually winning a game.

i have just as much belief that huggins will continue what he has done in his career just like i believe self will continue to do what he's done in his career which is recruit well and always get outcoached and never make a final 4.

i sometimes wonder where self would be if he didn't get to take over at illinois after kruger already turned it around.  lucky for illinois self left so they could get to a final 4.

You couldn't even get McDermott.

Hmmm....  Not quite sure how to take this quote from Howard Richman's KC Star article:

Just Tuesday, Weiser was asked whether former Northern Iowa coach Greg McDermott, who was hired at Iowa State, had been offered the K-State job. Weiser’s reply? “I can say there has not been any job offer made to anybody.”
