None of the major K-State "mouth pieces" out there is perfect, the main two being Kietz and Fitz.  All of us have flaws.  And no doubt Kietz and Fitz both have incredible egos, but I imagine most of us would if we were in their shoes.  There is also no doubt that there are no two better ambassadors out there for K-State in the public eye overall IMO.  I love Martin from the Eagle for his beatwriting on the Cats, but Kietz and Fitz are both K-Staters that represent well.  Yeah, they feed their egos plenty and have made mistakes (Tim Floyd being the monumental one) but I will be listening/reading both as I have for years.

Well...I have my doubts!  What are the characteristics which make them the top two, above so many others?  I'm curious, because I've neither immediately seen it...nor has it been readily apparent to me in the 5-10 years I've known of each.  I just think you're really placing them *up there* on a list.

My point is who has more of a role in the public eye both by K-Staters and non-K-Staters.  Kietz has a major show on WHB, a very large radio market.  Fitz has his own role on the K-State sports network and is often the first one called when talking about things K-State.  Who is bigger in the public eye?  Jannsen?  Caywood?  Stan Weber?  Wyatt?  There are no bigger mouth pieces for K-State sports than Kietz and Fitz from what I've seen.  As I said, neither are perfect men and both have large egos and that shows in the way they cover things.  However, that doesn't change what they have become, like them or not.

Damn...that was alot of bullcrap to read...

My issues with Fitz are simple.  Primarily, as a business owner myself, I think what he did was f'n reprehensible...pure theivery...and I'm glad the courts agree.  It is also the reason all key employees should sign non-compete agreements.  Aside from that, everytime I've met him I've found him to be a complete prick, and the extreme homerism and intolerance of anything negative that is said about KSU is pretty annoying as well.

Regarding seank et al and MJ/SPC, I don't know the details of how that went down, have never heard the story, so I don't really have an opinion there.  If it was illegal, sue them.  If it was unethical, make a better site (this one) and draw down theirs.  I sure as hell don't feel obligated to pay anything to their site.  If they don't want to have a free forum, then get rid of it, but like Bookie pointed out earlier, they are making money off of the advertising revenue, so I don't see that happening.

As for this site, assuming the present crowd sticks around, I'll probably put most of my [sarcasm] highly intellectual [/sarcasm] input on here.  Would I pay to support the site?  Sure.
