Worthless.

5 of our 6 commits have basically had NO interest from anyone  outside of us.

BFD they've commited early. They've have no other options.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Big dif/bro.

Last recruiting year it was because he was new.

Now he is just offering anybody.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Nice argument.
ku is worse.

Even in the greatest year for ku momentum, you only finish 3 spots above us in the recruiting standings.

Thats some moral victory.

We'll see how your recruiting fares when Prince picks up where Snyder left off turning your program back into pre-Snyder Ksu.

Seriously dude, Prince had 2 months to recruit.

Mangino had the greatest stuff he will be able to sell at ku.

Our classes were about the same.

Not good. (For ku)

For a new young coach coming in who was the greatest recruiter ever at Virginia I would think he would have done better than that.

Any coach should get huge momentum being just hired in a 'great' program. It seems like Prince just didn't have any.

Callahan's 1st class was ranked 30th.

Seriously, you aren't even a likable ku fan. You suck.

Prince has already offered 2 kickers.

Dear God.

When you write this stuff, do you realize how silly you sound when it comes to understanding recruiting for football?

Take a guess.  How many kickers do we have on the roster AND can you guess what class they are in?

I agree with your sentiment that KSU clearly was competitive with ku in recruiting, considering how little time Prince had, but seriously, the issue for recruiting is to seal up the state and surrounding areas to prevent the other programs from gaining a foothold.  The other part is available scholarships, which Prince will free up when he starts weeding out some of the slackers.

I'm not worried at all.  Prince is sending a great message.

Dear God.

Isn't one of them that punter from KS that also plays TE/DE?  I'm having flashbacks to that Australian Rules football guy that punts in the NFL.

" The other part is available scholarships, which Prince will free up when he starts weeding out some of the slackers."

He must think there are going to be a lot of slackers.  This class will have 15 seniors on scholarship and 9 of those scholarships are already spoken for via 2007 commitments and greyshirts.  That slacker number has to be pretty high.

Stars mean little. Do we have to go over this exercise again?

There is always some attrition and moving of scholarships within the program.   Just because we have 15 seniors doesn't mean we'll lose a couple of juniors, not to mention there is still the issue of qualifications, JUCO placements, etc.

There is a lot more to scholarships placements than just how many seniors have one.

The early 07' commits with 2-stars, big deal.  Obviously, you drink the cool-aid the fellas over at Rivals serve you.  Come on, the overwhelming majority of recruits have their profiles rise after the start of their senior campaigns.  Just watch, it will happen.  If that is what you are into with the rating of these players.  Someone had to get in early with these kids, just so happens that we have gotten the foot in the door earlier than everyone else, espically with in-state kids.  I am impressed so far.  Now he has to coach them up.  We'll see.

i think its a lot about sending a message that we will own any kansas prospects.  perhaps just a setup for the future?  i try to be glass half full.  plus i never trust rankings...newman and sproles were two of our best players ever.

Can't speak for who will and won't make it for the 2006 recruits...but the new Spring 2006 Roster is missing Burch, Latimore, Frieson, and Marcus Perry.  Damn, less depth at DE.  Robert Jackson better make it!
