In football KSU is ku's super bowl and no amount of equivocation on the part of  Squawkville is going to change that reality.   So it would be expected that a school putting so much emphasis on winning one game (see bye week every year as one example) would occasionally win it.   But in the big picture, Mark Mangino and ku are a failure.  11-29 in conference play after 5 years, no winning seasons in conference since 1995, and needing D1AA wins to get into the last two bowl games.

Insofar as ku goes, KSU despite what they say, will always be the rivalry that evokes action, not just words.

This bothers you way too much.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

If we could bottle up Dax's hatred for ku and turn it into a fuel, our dependence on foreign oil would be a distant memory.

It doesn't bother me, you say that to a KthUg fan, and then see who gets "bothered".

They fall all over themselves to tell you how wrong you are.

Again, there's talk, and there's action . . . ku vs MU='s Talk  ku vs KSU='s Action.

If Kansas fans are rooting for us.  They are not true Kansas fans.  I root for Kansas to lose.

Phog 2 weeks ago: MU is our main rival.

Phog now: GO MIZZOU!  GO TIGERS!

It's either denial or a horrible case of an entire fanbase not knowing how to treat a rival.

Seriously.  If they're really ku's rival, then ku fans would never, ever, ever, say anything resembling "GO MIZZOU" or "GO TIGERS!"

Besides.  Dax's hatred for ku is how it should be.  All K-state fans should have this much hatred built up for them.  They've owned us on the basketball court for the last twenty years.

I grew up surrounded by Squawk Fans, and a couple of loud mouth MU fans.   In the 80's believe it or not I hated MU a little more then ku, because I freaking hated Norm Stewart back then, and sort of liked Larry Brown as a coach because he didn't buy into that "holier then thou" ku Bull$hit.   Then Roy brought in that sanctimonious UNC attitude and that tipped the scales back to ku for me.

BMW . . . that's okay, I know that if it wasn't for the fact that he was the toast of the town in LAWRENCE, Larry Brown would've been videoed countless times in the same position as Huggy was in that picture.

Huggins is a good family man who has been married to one woman, has two daughters, and is a straight shooter who wears his own hair on the top of his head.  He made a mistake and drove after drinking.  Happens to LOTS of people.  The fact that people like you keep bringing it up is very pathetic.

Nebraska was a quality win.

LOL.  I'm assuming you're joking about this.  An 8-4 (5-3 at the time you played them), unranked NU team that was coming off it's first non-bowl season in 3 decades.  I take back my comparison to Wooly, at least Wooly beat a ranked team.

It was a quality win. Not sure why you're trying to argue that.

There's no way anyone could count that as a quality win.  It was a win that stopped a streak, so in that sense and that sense only it was a big win for their program, but NU was not a quality team.

Not like they do now.  A bigger lush then Brown was ku football coach Mike Gottfried (sp??).    I give them credit, they both buried a lot of pipe into the ku jersey chasers.

Why is it some ku dorks insist on validating themselves (or so they think) by putting things like "BMW" before their name?

Bowel Movement is validation?

The only reason it is that lopsided is the coaches.

We have the better coach in the present.

The Big 12, specifically the big 12 north is terrible.  ku has been the 2nd or 3rd best team in the conference for about 4 years now, they've just played in the North.

Actually, Bil Self has spent more time in the Mid-Con and C-USA than he has in the Big 10/12.

hth.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
