The most encouraging thing about the Nebraska game.

We shot ~30% from the field, Cartier and Hoskins didn't reach double digits until the game was almost over, and we still won comfortably.

One of the signs of a good team is being able to win comfortably against a conference team you should beat, even when your offense sputters.

Hopefully, Cartier and Hoskins get back on track now for Wednesday against Mizzou.

Yeah, we could have easily had the same type of result similar to last years Nebraska game in Bramlage. Winning by 16 while shooting 32% is friggin awesome. Last year we lost that type of game 57-42.

Oh man, I just went back out of curiosity and looked at our percentage last year vs. NU (23.4%) and threw up a little in my mouth. Cartier had 20 that game, and the second leading scorers were Mario Taybron and Lance Harris at 5 apiece. Gross.

we're shooting right at 40% in league play, and a solid 34% from downtown.

the saving grace is that we're holding teams under 25% on three pointers, made as many fts as our opponents have shot, and are hitting 77% from the line.

that last one bears repeating.  in league play, through 6 games, the team is shooting 77% from the line.

that's up nearly 10% as a team from last year.

We need to shoot better than 40% to consistently win.   40 is better than we have been shooting, but will not cut it against ku, OSU, UT, and A&M.  I know our defense will win us most games and definitely keep us in games, but we need better production on the offensive end.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but our shooting percentage was down against NU because we didn't have many fast break points/ easy buckets. It seemed like we gave up on trying to get inside when they packed it in and we settled for jumpers.

if we want to consistently win, we need to score more points than our opponent.

that means shooting well when we have the ball, and playing good defense when they have the ball.

can we create a seperate board for mind numbingly obvious statements?
