I suppose that post is directed at me. Well, I’m not a liberal that is ranting racist crap. I have probably voted for more Republicans than Democrats in my life, but the key is that I vote on specific candidates and issues, and not by party affiliation. And yes, Cincinnati is choked full of Republicans. There hasn’t been a Democrat win a congressional or state seat in this are for probably 40 or more years. Even in last November’s Republican bashing each and every congressperson in this area (that’s five of them, all being Republican) won their seats back which truly bucked the trend of the rest of the nation. The black population in the area will not turn out to vote else this would probably change. And as far as ‘crackers’, just how do you define the word? If it means white people that use intimidation and violence to discriminate against blacks, then yes, this area is filled with crackers. Just ask the several dozen young black kids that the Cincinnati police have gunned down in the last five years. Whoops, you can’t. There dead. And out in lily white Kansas you don’t hear about the ethnic intimidations, the routine profiling, and the non-lethal violence that stems from the Cincinnati Police Department’s treatment of blacks. Federal judges have put the CPD on court ordered and monitored sanctions to try to improve their race issues, but the CPD has literally ignored it despite the Federal Court system threatening huge fines and other penalties. As I stated, this is a dangerous place to be a young black kid.
