There's a new sheriff in town.
We need a Widget that somehow relates to KSU Basketball or Huggins.
I don't know how to do this. Is any one up to the task? Any ideas?
Maybe their schedule, or count the days from Huggs first game till his first Technical,
what other ideas do people have?
Somebody with some Mac knowledge needs to do this. Seriously.

How about a widget that automatically views any of fatty's YouTubes posts.

I'll see what I can do.  :)

ill dip my hands into the widget barrel and pull something out.

We all know there's been a conspiracy. Only the failures have been recorded.
We all pay too much attention to Icarus, and not enough to his father.

What the heck is a wiget?

Isn't it that deal in Guinness bottles and cans that's supposed to make it taste better? :)

with the click of a button, one can customize their dashboards to show them anything they want. there are thousands of them.

I definately wouldn't do it at work.

So that's why people buy Mac's.  that's a pretty cool useless tool.*

I know next to nothing about software (that is software?) or computers in general.  I grew up with windows and every time I use a mac I want to kill myself.

Macs won't run the 3D CAD programs that I need to use.

i grew up on PC's too. and instead of killing myself on macs...i have embraced them. i even went as far as adopted one...

 named him Captain Leo Davidson.

i know the mac commercials may be lame, but they are just trying to prove how easy and simple they are.....plug in and go. no adding this...they dont get viruses, and they are just briliant machines.

they should be able to run CAD with the intel chips

How do they not get viruses?  If they are so simple maybe that is what I have needed all my life.

They don't get viruses because people don't bother to write viruses for macs because noone really uses them.  It's all about market share.

there was an article somewhere about how the change from PC to mac was growing and that they will have to write software to protect. and no, it wasnt in ranger rick.

mac and mac users have learned to adapt to a PC world. our software goes both ways (like Shocker) and im too lazy to type more.

macs-

More stability...

Less computer crashes...

Less scripting bugs...

Better graphics...

Faster processing speed...

(The speed is comparable, but the stability, scripting, and crashes are a result of WinXP being inferior to OS X and not an actual Mac advantage. Linux PCs are comparably stable etcetera. Maybe it's because both are derived from UNIX...)

okay...here is my rundown of what i see as Mac advantages:

The Macintosh computer’s true “Plug-and-Play” capabilities
make adding hardware cards easy.

The Macintosh computer’s built-in SCSI port makes it easy
to add peripherals.

Windows is loaded with “mystery” files such as DLLs,
INFs, and SYSs.

Macintosh computers offer easier, more versatile
networking

The Mac OS is easier to install than Windows.

Macintosh computers offer more flexible monitor support.

Macintosh files stay linked to the applications that created
them; with Windows, this isn’t always the case.

The Macintosh makes it easy to add input devices.

The Macintosh has superior folder management
compared with Windows

Macintosh computers provide sophisticated
color-matching capability.

Installing and using CD-ROM titles is easier with
Macintosh computers

The Macintosh makes running an Internet server
easier and more secure.

The Macintosh gives you 100 percent pure Java.

The Macintosh has Cyberdog. (PC's have pissclams cat)

The Mac OS has AppleScript automation.

PCs can lose valuable information if their batteries fail.

Macintosh computers let you run more applications.

You can easily work with PC files on your Macintosh.

A Macintosh running Windows can share data
between OS environments.

Macintosh has better backward compatibility.

Macintosh computers require less hardware than PCs
running Windows to run similar applications.

The Macintosh is rated more reliable—for the third
year in a row

enough said.

Macintosh graphics and multimedia formats are more standard-
ized, and therefore more flexible. On a Macintosh computer,
the PICT file format is supported by most applications that can
deal with graphics, which allows for easy cut and paste between
applications. In fact, the OS-level integration between three-
dimensional and video data formats provided by Apple’s
QuickTime Media Layer even allows you to cut and paste
three-dimensional data and motion video.
Windows users are often subjected to dozens of different
formats for graphics and multimedia. Windows users have no
assurance that what they create in one graphics application can
be cut and then pasted into a different graphics application for
further processing or modification

THATS what i mean by better graphics

My wife has a mac, a Dual G4 800.  It's a decent machine, but can't run games worth a crap.  I hate working on it, everything is too simple.
