If National Titles is your only criteria for a "dynasty," UCLA and Kentucky are the only teams that would fit that bill.

Glad to see you are at the point where you have to bring basketball into a football discussion.

Only an analogy, nothing more, nothing less.  Usinig your criteria, Marty Schottenheimer for example has coached dynasties . . . afterall he's won over 200 games in the NFL.

"I can't say enough about their facilities, they were top of the line and the funny thing is they're talking like they weren't good at all because they're getting all new facilities in 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008."

Football: KSU has accomplished as much as (and a bit more) than ku did in an 11 year span.  Crow about all time series and worthless leather helmet era crap as much as you want, but until 1993, both schools sucked, hardcore.  ku had a couple good years in the 60's but thats it.

Basketball: ku, the school that wins alot of games and chokes alot. KSU, the school that hired Bob Huggins.

I completely agree, except for the fact that "choking" requires having high expectations, and if you have high expectations, it means that your team is successful.  K-State "choked" against A&M in '98 and you "choked" against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.  See how that works?

Did we "choke" when beating down Syracuse with McNabb, Donovan Darius, Rob Konrad, and other NFL'ers?
How about when we body slammed Tennessee with at least 4 NFL players?

A&M was in the top 15 IIRC.  OSU was highly ranked as well.  I would liken those failures to Georgia Tech or Arizona.

Choking is Rhode Island, UTEP, Bucknell, Bradley.

I join alot of bracket pools w/ my friends around the country and they always have ku losing in the first or second round while I have them usually going to at least the Elite 8.  I ask them why they do that, and they just say "Because they choke every time."  Now, that is not true, but it is the national perception.

The guy on Espn.com didn't nickname ku "Portugal" for no reason.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
A&M was actually #10.  That's how freaking good we were then.  Everyone acts like an OT loss to a Top 10 team was some huge upset.

    The very best.
We almost won the national title. In football. So weird.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

When 4 communications majors and 1 criminal justice major all collectively call a timeout you don't have . . . that's choking.

True, but I think that was the Maryland game back in 02.

Point still stands.

You just helped make my point, Dax.  How does a team "choke" in the Final Four?  By that point, aren't all 4 teams good enough to win the title?  I can see "choking" against Rhode Island, Bucknell, and Bradley, but Maryland?  They were a very good team that went on to win it all that year.
