dax not lying about florida's strength coach.

5 star 6-2 236 DE
3 star 6-2.5 219 DE
3 star 6-4 220 DE

the 3 above were the 3 rotating DT's for Florida that Ohio State could not block.

In order they now go..

Joe Cohen 6-2 296 Sr
Ray McDonald 6-3 280 RS-Sr
Steven Harris 6-5 285 RS-Sr

they have another DT who was a 230lb LB prospect and now is a 280 RS-So

I don't know why everybody on a certain other board swings off of Rod Cole's nuts.  There's a reason basketball and baseballl brought in their own guys.   I don't see Scott Greenwalt calling over from the basketball weightroom going, "So Rod, what should we do next?"

Hugs worked 8 years with Mickey Mariotti at Cincy prior to Mariotti leaving for Notre Dame in 1998 . . . guess where Mickey Mariotti is the HEAD strength and conditioning coach now . . . Florida . . .  he is Matt Balis's boss.   Huggs says Greenwalt is every bit as good as Mariotti.

If one remembers.  In 1995 when KSU played at Cinncy, that Bearcat football squad had some absolute specimens on it, and they as many will remember physically dominated KSU for most of that game, and they also gave a very physical ku team all kinds of problems in Lawrence that year.

Gaining 70-80 lbs within 4-5 years can't be healthy.

no doubt.  tons of great s and c guys out there.  Certainly teams like florida will always be getting some of the better guys but that doesn't mean that guys like Prince can't find a good one either.  Everyone is talking about gators this and gators that.  big deal.  they didn't just invent football, they didn't just invent weight training.  Adam Carrikers physical transformation hasn't been any less impressive than anyone on the gators team.

what you need to do if you want to totally reshape these kids like florida did is have the depth and talent inplace so that these kids don't have to play as true frosh.  give them a rs year, right off the bat aned make them work hard, heck, maybe even their first year of elgability they don't see the field either.  It's harder to build up a guy like this if they are getting hit and hurt every saturday cause they are playing 40 snaps
